he was not a household name. But he was toy inventor that was one of the first to appreciate the potential that plastic offered the game industry.

He invented Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, and Lite-Brite, and was part of the team that invented Mouse Trap.

I spent more hours than I care to admit playing Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots as a kid, and nearly as much time playing Mouse Trap. I wasn't as enamored with Lite-Brite. I passed along my appreciation of Mouse Trap by introducing it to many of my nieces and nephews, as well as to my kids.

I tip my hat to a visionary, who provided me, my friends, and the next generation of my family, many hours of joy and entertainment.

Even though I didn't necessarily have each of those games, I played every single one of them. Growing up if ANY kid on the block had those games they were community property for everyone LOL. Played them all on ours and neighbors porches over the years! Good Times!

I could have picked you out.
Unfortunately only three of us in that photo are still alive. The two girls to the far left and boy in the middle were all siblings and are all gone now. It was their house we were at. The other boy and girl were brother and sister.🙁
