Man. That sucks. I wonder if he had been sick and that’s why he sold or if it’s just a coincidence? They had a lot of bad years under him, but he did bring us two pennant and a WS. RIP.

He passed away due to complications from pneumonia. He was planning on attending Royals spring training down in Arizona and had just spent the holidays with his family in Florida. This was completely unexpected.

Dude actually changed Major League Baseball for the better. Because of Glass, the league introduced revenue sharing, compensation picks, draft bonus caps, and the end result was parity.

Sadly, the Royals became a bit of a sacrifical cow in order for those changes to occur.
