Man, this one sucks. Dolly represented all that was good of an America that feels less and less like the one we grew up in everyday.

My Mom went to a Dolly show one time in the late seventies. Dolly head a Q&A at the end of the show, and a fan asked her if she thought it was OK for couples to cohabitate before marriage. Dolly replied, "Honey, I don't think they should live together after they're married. They ought to have houses beside each other and go visit whenever they want."

Dolly was a throwback to an America we don’t see enough of anymore. Genuine, kind, a spirit as bright as the sun. She was a gem that did not allow fame and fortune to change her in any way except one….the ability to give. And she gave a ton

She was the walking talking American dream growing from abject poverty to the pinnacle of success. And yet the person she was left almost everyone with the feeling that Dolly could/would be their favorite Aunt. Truly remarkable
