I have seen him in person several times. Even 3rd row, strategically avoiding the audience participation - amazing how he would say the things to an individual and end up with laughter and love.

The guy was awesome. Too bad guys like him would be bashed by the PC Police in today's super sensitive hyper offended world.

He was so funny. Some people have lost the ability to laugh at themselves. One of his greatest lines is when he was on stage and Frank Sinatra came into the auditorium and walked to his front row table and Don said, "Come on in Frank, make yourself at home and punch someone!" Frank laughed. Frank didn't laugh very often when people criticized or made fun of him. Don was one of the best. I don't think there will ever be another person who could get away with the things he did. Not today, that is too bad. Now more than ever we need to laugh at ourselves.
