Ed Cagle Stood Tall in many different circles, but none were more dear to him than his OU Sooners! Every Man Dies, but NOT Every Man Lives...Glad Big Ed got it right!
Too bad fitty (who is from Lawton) would, if he could, offer so many personal observances of the Man and his family. I used to know some Cagles from Tulsa...
I had the pleasure of meeting Felo (and his son, can't remember his name - something with "dragon" it?) several years ago at a Sooner tailgate. Fine gentleman and a Sooner through and through. May God bless and protect his soul.
I went to school with some of the Cagles at Eisenhower. My uncle used to drive a delivery truck for them in the 70’s.

I hung out with all of them. Harold Jones, Donald Sloan and Lewis Hill.77 bball was 27-0 in the regular season. Lost to Star Spencer at State. I made every game that year..... played the National anthem at all of the home games. I stay in touch with a couple of those guys to this day, even though I left Lawton in 1989.
