Well, this one was a shocker, at least to me. I recall reading only a few weeks ago that she and Wynonna were planning to go on tour again. Also, the statement from Wynonna and Ashley ("We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness.") suggests, at least to me, that their mom may have taken her own life. Tragic.

It seems she did, which is tragic.

And yes, the pandemic and its effects have had a tough impact on mental health for millions.

Can’t fairly draw a correlation between the two though without more information. Naomi published a book about her battles with depression years before COVID hit.

That's awful. I suspected when they said she died of mental illness. I looked, but couldn't find anyone to come out and say it. Then again, I'm pretty oblivious to country music.
