did not realize until reading his obit that he had done this as well.........

If you mention that song, you should post the memorable video they created in 1975 (the song was a hit in the 60s).

What really made it memorable was the dancer, who was unidentified for years. It turns out she was Lisa Leonard (now goes by her married name, Lisa Leonard Dalton). Sloopy never had it so good.

Remember seeing him on the HUB lawn at least once during Regatta/Moving On or such weekend.
I remember he was supposed to play on the HUB lawn for movin on, but it got rained out.

When I see the rock stars of the 60s, 70s and 80s, I cant believe how old they look. Then I shave and I see this old guy in the mirror.
Or when you try to buckle your pants. It can get hard to take. At least that’s something you can control, I tell myself.

I am 6'2", 205 lbs. I weighed up to 285 plus 15 years ago. I went on the quadrupel bypass (two of them) diet in 2012. It is amazing what the threat of death will do to you. My grandfather, father and uncles all died by the time they were in there 50s. "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself."

Damn, that’s a story worth sharing. Appreciated.

I was just in Kansas for the long weekend with my wife’s family and very few fiftyish sixtyish men I saw had what I would consider a healthy waistline, me included. Gotta put in the extra work. (This is me with my life hack: put it in writing.)

Suggestion: Stop eating anything white. Bread, potatoes, rice, noodles. The weight will just fall off of you. If you can't do that (I could not) try dropping one or two of them and get rid of sugar from your diet. When I was going thru the worst of my health problems a nurse sat me down and told me it was changing the diet or death. That gets your attention. Fortunately I love meat and veggies.

“Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”

“Rave,” I like that very much. A perfectly chosen word.

I got lots to do today so need to sign off for the day. (Again: life hack.) God bless us all!
