I'm truly saddened by his passing. One of the true great actors. Lilies of the Field, among many, many others, was his best performance, in my opinion. In the Heat of the Night was also awesome.

He helped change our world. Hence the main reason I sit this one out.

The first movie I saw him in was Lilies of the Field in 1963.

Good actor and seemed to be a good man from what I know of him.
