I believe, but may be wrong, Howard Schnellenberger also had a hand in his recruitment to Alabama. Great player with the Raiders and Houston. Wow, sorry to hear it.
How many illegal forward laterals and batted balls were there in the fumble that beat Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship game? A bunch and I hate the Steelers.

Lifelong Raiders and Stabler fan. Lots of great lines about him as a player, but one quote about him that I enjoyed came from Bear Bryant and it compared Stabler to Namath in their off the field exploits. It was something along the lines of, "Kenny has forgotten more about raising hell than Joe will ever know."
I've always been biased, but I have always thought that based on some of his peers who are in Canton that Stabler also deserved the honor.
