I admired the lasting love he shared with Eydie and found joy and comfort in their music. If you had a ticket to their show you expected to get your money's worth and they always delivered that, and more. May God grant them both Eternal Rest.

Many years ago I saw him and Eydie on Broadway in "Golden Rainbow". We had standing room tickets and at one point while Eydie was doing a number I look to my left and there's Steve standing next to me watching his wife.That was a surprise. The temptation was to ask him Aren't you supposed to be up there? Of course i didn't. It was a fun show.
