Seriously though, I heard he had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease since 2016. Don't think I would have wanted to live like that for 7 years.

I saw him at LAX in the late 70s. I'm fairly sure I was one of the few who even knew who he was. His singing career was pretty much over at that time. But of course it was revived a few years later bigger than it had ever been.
He was one of my favorite UK basketball players. Until sh*t got "rapey"
