He made his name with The Exorcist and The French Connection, but I really loved Sorcerer. I suspect you'd have to make the effort to see it. Not much demand for remakes of old French movies. But it's a great grab-you-by-the-throat thriller.

Probably should've mentioned this when he died, but Friedkin did a fantastic interview with Marc Maron years ago that he's probably reposted on his feed. At the time I remember thinking that was one of the best interviews I'd ever listened to.
