Your post was perfectly clear to me. I am not sure why it is but year in year out game in game out the Aces are always the smallest team on the field. We have to deal with that every year and do the best we can with that realityEdenton is small but shifty. Their size is not a good indicator of their capability but there is a point of diminishing returns due to being undersized. Not sure if that is clear but it makes perfect sense to me. Lol
If you are the smaller team, you really need to be fast. You need good technique. You need deception. You need depth. You need discipline. You need to play smart. You need something to compensate for the lack of size. Edenton's coaching staff is good at getting all they can out of their athletes and the community rallies around that school. The old adage can't be more true. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.Your post was perfectly clear to me. I hope the SWO posters don't read this lol, they may blow a gasket over the part about its not the size of the dog in the fight. They always remind everyone how big they are. Best of luck to Edenton, I'm pulling for ya. Whoever wins will need a small miracle next week.If you are the smaller team, you really need to be fast. You need good technique. You need deception. Thanks Goob. Holmes and Northeastern have a healthy mutual respect for one another and I think that drives some people crazy.I hope the SWO posters don't read this lol, they may blow a gasket over the part about its not the size of the dog in the fight. Thanks KWC. Our coaches do a great job in all of those areas and I hope they know they are appreciated. The boys play with a lot of heart and give it all they got. The last two years we just happened to have to run into Reidsville and Tarboro for our last game of the season. I hope both teams win and we can head down Highway 64 to Tarboro again. It really was a great atmosphere last year. I was glad we won, but I really felt bad for those Aces fans that came all that way expecting an exciting game and by halftime it was totally over and everyone knew it. I know that team came expecting great things and they left completely defeated. I hope we get that game again next week because I think those Edenton fans deserve something to cheer about. I hope they still go home disappointed, but its always better to go home knowing you played your best game. I'm not sure they left feeling that way last year. Thanks KWC. No bulletin board material from me either. Riverside has some good looking kids.I don't want to give them any bulletin board material but I don't see this as much of a game if Edenton is playing to its potential. I think Holmes wins big, 3 tds plus
We didn’t play our best game last year at Tarboro but no doubt the much better team won. Good luck to y’all tonight. We will try and do our part.It really was a great atmosphere last year. I really like the way Edenton fans travel. They packed the seats. They had the senior signs along the fence on the visiting side. The Go Aces! yard signs along US64 coming into town was a nice touch, even though our fans collected them hours before the game and gave them back after. This is a great program that is so far removed from North Carolina TV markets and thus goes completely under the media's radar until playoff time and they take it as a sign of disrespect that no one includes them in the championship discussion. We didn’t play our best game last year at Tarboro but no doubt the much better team won. Respect is earned. I remember when I was in school traveling to Edenton when we were conference rivals. They were passionate then and its only gotten crazier since.Nice post. Much respect to you.

We put them out at every home game.Nice, great idea about the signs. That's the first I've heard of that and you've just given me an idea. My wife works at a sign shop. Thanks for that info, I will have a nice welcoming present for SWO or WRH next Friday.
Oh, I thought the previous poster said you put them out along hwy 64. I know that's the main way to Tarboro, and hwy 17n goes to EdentonWe put them out at every home game.
You have to admit that it was a pretty good idea. Kind of funny to, gave me a good laughWhen I heard that they had put signs out in Edgecombe County on Hwy 64 last year I cringed....The ones responsible were not trying to disrespect the Vikings, but genuinely thought it would be a welcome sight for Aces fans coming to Tarboro that night. Don't think we'll see the signs agian this year if we meet. LOL.
I'm sure, I'll have some ready for the winner of swo wrh. I'll make sure they get a nice welcome into Elizabeth city next FridayGreat idea. Kinda fired our guys up a little more though.
