per his appearance on Parrish's podcast, and it's meant in a complimentary way

Basically, he doesn't want to hear "but they didn't play anybody" if/when Kentucky goes 40-0

in the short term, i can see his point. 10 years from now, though, nobody will remember whether Kentucky avoided playing any of the six or seven best teams in the tournament.

The overall #1 should play the weakest #2. What's the point of calling it "seeded" if this isn't the case?

With all the hubbub, if it happens you can almost bet that game will never happen. UK or Wisc would lose before it. Hopefully not is, but just seems like a classic story that everyone knows about and ends up pointless.

It won't be UK. I honestly think the first 3 games will be pretty easy for UK no matter who the opponents are.

If we don't beat anybody it just means the teams that should have gotten to the FF were no threat anyway.

The goal of the tournament is not to make sure the favorite has the toughest road possible. It should be that the lesser teams should have the toughest road possible.

Don't think anyone is really scared of Wisconsin but the tournament is not meant to have the top #1 seed playing the top #2 seed anywhere until the final four or national championship. Wisconsin is a #1 caliber squad, however what many fail to mention is that it is more unfair to wisconsin to put them in our region as it is to UK.

Not true under the NCAAT's current selection rules. It makes more sense from a fairness point of view, but not from an entertainment and TV point of view. Times change. If we are the best team in the country, the cream will rise to the top. That's how we have to look at it. I guarantee you those guys are more worried about playing us than we are worried about playing them.

If Wisconsin wins their conference tournament, they will get a one seed. No way in will Virginia and Duke both will be one as choke city is about to happen.
Besides there isnt another team in Division one that I believe can beat Kentucky unless Kentucky beats themselves.

To be the best you must beat the best simple as that. So give me the hawks, cavaliers & warriors.

This isn't last years Kentucky team. This year, we DRILL Wisconsin. The matchups, that Kentucky WILL play, will be Arizona and Duke. And those games will be great. But nobody is stopping Kentucky. Forget Tanks coming over the hill. this is a Train, carrying tanks, and a Nuke. Its coming over the top of the hill and building speed. Your best bet is to dig a hole, and come out in 30 years.

Does anyone really remember the path that '76 IU took in the NCAAT because of the strength of the competition they played?

Me neither.

Just win em all....
