yes, this is what it looks like.

Although I have a suspicion that we'll be drilling further down through some of that rock yet with Wisconsin and Iowa both still on the remaining schedule.

This game is more on Frost than Chins. Chins unit did more than enough. Frost left points on the board and had some real head scratchers.

Our talent doesn’t match his system. So he runs his system and we get worse

While I dislike this D intensely, putting this lose fully on them is just plain stupid. The O was incompetent today.

Chins D had a chance to win the game and failed. No blitz packages to rattle a third string QB, just sit back and hope they make a mistake. I think the D did well in spurts, but Chins went passive when he needed to attack late.

hard to argue that. That was awful

but we shouldn’t have been in that position. We had the ball in their territory the entire first half and came out with 13 pts

It’s serious wishful thinking if anybody actually believes Frost will be letting his best man go anytime soon.

Frost and Chinander will do down on the sinking ship together.

I agree...I think what MIGHT happen...is that Chin will leave on his own for a gig.

Oh no, this isn't rock bottom. We have 2 maybe 3 blow outs coming our way yet.

That is my hope. That he realized how important this is for Frost. Realizing he can't get it done, he may do the honorable thing and leave.

danny langsdorf and tanner lee would have taken that last drive right down the field and won the game

Indiana and Purdue both had their best offensive players out and still beat us. Imagine if Indiana had their starting dual-threat QB, and Purdue had Rondale. Both games would have been blowout losses.

My hope is that this season is bad enough that Frost will be forced to reexamine everything. He's pretty cocky and reluctant to do that, but I'd say these first two seasons have been enough to humble him some.

After DDs pick to set them up inside the 5. We end up with a FG. For the love of god run Adrian straight ahead 4 times and you get the TD!!!! So ******* maddening!!

Frost likes to be cute rather than smart. It will cost him dearly if he doesn’t wise up.

We do this **** every time. Settle for the FGs. Dumb turnovers. Let a lesser team hang around. Then boom. Lose it in 4th quarter when game should be over!! Like clockwork. Over it.

His game management has been terrible so far. Goes for it on 4th down when he shouldn't, doesn't go for it when he should. Bizarre play calling in important situations. Doesn't seem to have a feel for his own team. Probably cost us 3-4 games in his first 21 games here.

Not to mention his love and addiction to that stupid swing pass.

We did actually blitz on one of their big pass completions on that last drive. Barry got their just after he released the ball. Got a hit on the QB but that was it.

It's just a wasted down 98% of the time. Talk about putting yourself behind the 8 ball. Of course so is trying to run between the tackles and thinking Martinez can hit open passes so he is pretty restricted with what he can choose in the playbook.

Where??? His High School? Won't make $800K there!
Ha...No...but I think you gotta understand that coaches look out for other coaches...there is a reason that these guys never bash each other. They "get it" and they help each other.

When your O line can't move anybody I guess you do anything you can to try to get a ball carrier in open space. The hope is that your WRs and TE can make a block to spring a guy. We could do nothing in the run game The BIGGEST problem IMO was that Martinez either couldn't find the open receiver OR hit them IF he did find them. On that interception we had a guy wide open at the first down sticks who SHOULD have been right in his line of sight. Terrible game by Martinez and I know he's playing hurt. Sigh. Getting to 6 wins barring a miracle just got nearly impossible.

It will get worse. I hate to say it but a lot of players don’t believe in Frost anymore. The best thing for Frost is to get to the off-season and reevaluate how he wants to run this program.

Rock Bottom would be if Frost gets fired after 5-6 years and they bring in a 3-4 defensive head coach with an offensive coordinator who likes to pass.

Hang in there folks. It just takes longer to get things lined up anymore. Recruiting is hit or miss, practice time limited, complicated schemes. Every big time program that goes through a coaching change has to suffer through the low, usually for longer than they expect. I suspect Coach Frost will come through in the end.

Iowa’s style of play won’t produce a blowout. Just a slow, boring, slog to a 7-13 point loss.

Don’t count on that . If there is one team KF loves to blow out its Nebby! Goes back your idiot AD who said “ we had to evaluate where Iowa was as a program” I don’t think Iowa has forgotten that . If KF has a chance to run it up he will .....

Where is the cosgrove 24/7 blitz package when you need it. For Christ sake that guy was an inexperienced 3rd string walk on at Purdue. The first think I thought we would see is crazy blitzing but nothing. Don't know if that's on Chin or frosts conservative nature but that was a win coached into a loss.
