It was just OK. They made a good attempt to connect to four with some of the same characters. What was with the stupid goggles the "pilot" wore on his forehead? Looked like an attempt to keep him separate from the guy who is with Jen.

No Hayden Christensen and his horrible acting...that alone is a plus.

Saw it yesterday with my family and we all liked it better than we thought we would. These stand alone Star Wars movies filling in some back stories is a nice idea IMO.

Would recommend.

Saw it today. Overall I give it a B. Too many characters that are created just to be killed off. Liked the blind martial arts guy. Was not a jedi, but believed and used the force. nonetheless. I liked how they explained the past and filled in what we were all wondering. I hate the Prequels and it's stupid characters and overuse of CGI. I was pleasantly surprised with Rogue One's sparing use of CGI with Tarkin and Leia. I actually teared up at the end as Fisher had died this morning.

Not a fan of ROTJ. Just too much suck in it. I bought the Special Edition box set on VHS in 1997. Freakin' hate what Lucas did to those films. He made them worse in 2004. The fact that he did not allow the sale of the original versions or their airing really made me mad. Lucky for me I heard of the De-specialized versions. Some fans worked to edit the movie to restore it back to the original state. They took out the extra scenes and the added CGI special effects and restored the color lost in Lucas' changes. I was able to find all of the original de-specialized Trilogy flicks. The original Star Wars (A New Hope) was over 17GB in size. Watched it a couple weeks ago when the wife was out. Cranked the sound. It was amazing! Watched The Empire Strikes Back this week. Will probably watch Return Of The Jedi in a few days just to see if the original was as awful as the Special Edition seem to make it.

I'm now looking forward to Episode VIII. Unfortunately, Disney will milk Rogue One and we will have to wait until next Christmastime to see it. RIP Carrie Fisher.
