The OLD Columbia High School that sat at the corner of Washington and Marion Streets in DOWNTOWN, long since torn down, unfortunately! Class of 1975, the last class to graduate from the OLD SCHOOL. Going there wasn’t only an education, it was a life experience. No AC, steam radiator heat created by a coal burning furnace under the school. I had a very enjoyable 4 years there, some of that time in a blur from the very distinctive aroma of left handed tobacco. “No stems, no seeds, Alcapulco Gold is bad a$$ weed”. I think that was our fight song??? Lol
