I did this quite a few years ago and with so many new members I thought it was time again.
I'm asking the posters on this site to tell us a couple things about themselves.
1. Who is your team?
2. Why you are a fan
3. Anything else you want to say!

Example:

Maine South
I've been the equipment manager for 16 years.
I love this site and appreciate all that Edgy does for us high school football fans. Hopefully someday we have an Edgytim golf outing!

WWS

Grew up going to games, went to school there, played there and recently moved back into the district so my kids will go there.

Fun fact I counted it out and I've been to roughly 300 Tiger games since '88.

Palatine / MSL West fan

Father of 4 Palatine grads, had kids in the school from 2001-2006 and 2008-2015. Two sons involved in football and lacrosse. Basically bleed Scarlett & Grey.

Despite loss of Oles this past weekend, I still think Palatine has a chance to get to Champaign this year. Incredible confluence of talented players (besides Oles) that just doesn't come along that often for a public school. Incredible coaching staff that really grows players and knows how to gameplan and make adjustments. They've had a chip on their shoulder to prove themselves and I think losing Oles will just steel their resolve even more.

Sorry fellow Football enthusiasts - I must have missed this thread.

Who is my team?

Waubonsie Valley, but I also follow and root for various Western Suburb teams and DVC teams (when they are not playing WV!!)

Why am I a fan?
Played Football, have always liked the sport, and 2 of my 3 kids play it. To be honest, it's more fast paced watching HS football than HS Track meets or HS Swim meets (lot's of "down time" in those,... but still go to watch those activities as well when I can of course!).

Anything Else?
Played Baseball first year in college in lieu of playing Ivy League football. While none of my 3 kids play baseball - I still follow the HS teams, go to a few games each spring, and support several programs via their annual fundraisers etc. etc..

Looking forward to a fantastic finish these next 4 weeks.

What will we do after Thanksgiving? Post a thread T minus 150 days to the start of 7v7's?

CG

Played there in the dark years and moved back to Cary in 2000 to raise a family. Back in my day, CG was a punching bag for CL South, Central and Woodstock. I can't believe what the program has grown to and how they reload every year. It's brought great attention and unity to our community.
