Saw on Friday Night Drive that they have a ball state DL commit that is pretty good. Also know that they like to pass a lot. Don’t know much.
As a Naz fan I have no idea about this team other than what Max Preps has on them . Any one have a scouting report on Meadows?

Very good in the trenches. Pedraza going to Ball State, other than that very good high school football players.

I would say Naz are 10 point favorites.

Rolling Meadows has very solid athletes but I don't think they can compete with the athletes that Naz has. If they win they need to force 3 turnovers.

Meadows has a good high school QB. Decent arm and makes good decisions. Just not at McCarthy's level.

Also, they use multiple RBs but in the playoffs they've gone to a bigger back to get more of the tougher yards.

Nazareth 11 pt favorites per calpreps. Massey is not updated yet.

CalPreps had Naz as a 1 point favorite over Batavia and it ended up a 14 point difference. So with that ratio (14 to 1) and Naz an 11 point favorite I say Naz by 154 (14 x 11)!

With Naz through the years you sometimes don't get what you think you going to get on the road at times.

Not sure what through the years means unless it’s recent enough to be current players. This year one loss - at home. Last year one loss - at home. 2 years ago loss at Marist and then the title game against Prairie Ridge. So in 3 years that’s 2 home losses 1 away loss and a neutral field loss. Maybe they should be worried about home games instead?

It seems like I remember a big one way back in the playoffs a loss at St Francis. Away games at Benet? Can't remember but thought there were a few others.

Just don't be so overconfident like I am reading on the boards. That's when you beat yourself.

No one is overconfident. R-M doesn’t play anywhere near the schedule Naz does so its hard to gauge. Naz is the favorite but it’s HS football anything can happen... No players or coaches are overconfident, who the heck cares what parents and fans think on a message board.

Naz lost one 2008 to a St Francis team that won state. SF was exceptional and Naz was beyond beat up going into that game.

There isn’t any puzzling losses to Benet. Benet is a good football program and when they beat Naz they were typically better. Naz lost in 2016 to a good Benet team. Naz wasn’t good. They were insanely young and lost 2 d1 to be seniors to transfer. In 2012 a decent Naz team got blitzed by Benet but Benet was really good. There’s a few more losses prior to that in lean years as Naz was building but no shame in any of those losses.

It will be closer then people think RM eats the clock as good as any team I have seen, they dink and dunk and use the entire 40 second clock. The QB is very good he throws on rhythm, is accurate and runs when the pocket breaks down.

On defense the one DL is a stud and Naz is going to need to double team him, RM is going to blitz and try to overwhelm Naz up front since their secondary is pretty average. Their kicking game is excellent.

Naz will win but if RM can get a few stops it will be interesting since Naz won’t get as many possessions as they typically do in a game.

None I don’t really care enough just thought I would post about RM since I’ve seen them and think they are better then they are getting credit for, Massey had them losing by 8 to WWS last week.

Insider knowledge and no bias is an easy way to make some money.

Does Naz get with the SF again if they make the state title game this year and go up to 8A? I'd be curious how they'd do in the 8A bracket.

In order to play ball possession you are going to need to get consecutive first downs...highly unlikely RM will be able to run the ball successfully. The LB Corp is just flat out Nasty at Naz. You mention dink and dunk...Carrillo, Reifsteck and Morris have been picking those off all year. Don’t underestimate the overall football Intelligence of the D, many 3yr Varsity kids.
We were thinking of making the trip but probably over by mid 2nd Q Naz 38 RM 14

I'll admit I was skeptical of RM since they're in the NW suburbs and those teams cant typically hang with Western Suburban teams. However, I agree with Clownbaby. They're better than you think. Their QB is above average and their D is underrated expecially their DL. They will challenge JJ Mccarthy more than any other team has this year. (Notwithstanding Cardinal Ritter) If someone is giving me 15+ points, I'd take them and begin thinking about how I'm spending it.

Its funny I just looked up both defenses and both have given up 168 points or 14pts per game. Which team is more likely to get or give up more than 14 points.

RM stifled a good offense last week at WWS. The only reason I'm still picking Naz is because JJ's mobility and his ability to spread the field with his athleticism and keep the LB's guessing. JJ is not the best pure passer in the state, but the fact that he's dual threat is what makes him so difficult to stop and the #1 overall recruit in IL for 2021. Realizing of course that according to the other thread, having the QB as one of your best athletes is irrelevant. haha.

They averaged 30.8 points and only 3/12 teams they played slowed them down, they weren’t great but they good.
Here we go with Public school math. They averaged 28. And only 22 since week 3 after they pounded those teams. What would your definition of "slow them down" mean. I would say that means score less than their average which they did in 8 of 12 games.
