I'll admit I was skeptical of RM since they're in the NW suburbs and those teams cant typically hang with Western Suburban teams. However, I agree with Clownbaby. They're better than you think. Their QB is above average and their D is underrated expecially their DL. They will challenge JJ Mccarthy more than any other team has this year. (Notwithstanding Cardinal Ritter) If someone is giving me 15+ points, I'd take them and begin thinking about how I'm spending it.
I’d argue that NDCP defense challenged JJ as much as any defense has all year CR included.

Here we go with Public school math. They averaged 28. And only 22 since week 3 after they pounded those teams. What would your definition of "slow them down" mean. I would say that means score less than their average which they did in 8 of 12 games.

Well 28.25, must be private school math ;)

I never said great I said good 22-28 points a game in high school is a good offense.

Which would be enough to beat Naz if their D is as good as CR and NND.
You said if RM defense is as good as ND or CR. Hersey hung 35 on that defense. I’ve seen Hersey and Naz and Naz is hands down a more dangerous offense.

I am only talking about the math. I have no idea how good RM defense is. Regardless of past games none of that matter in the playoffs. Each game has its own identity. I have not predicted or assume anything from RM. The math states that if you can hold a team to 21 and you can get to your average of 22 or more, you win the game.

RM stifled a good offense last week at WWS. The only reason I'm still picking Naz is because JJ's mobility and his ability to spread the field with his athleticism and keep the LB's guessing. JJ is not the best pure passer in the state, but the fact that he's dual threat is what makes him so difficult to stop and the #1 overall recruit in IL for 2021. Realizing of course that according to the other thread, having the QB as one of your best athletes is irrelevant. haha.

If JJ is not the best passer in the state please enlighten me who is? Rolling Meadows has had a great run over the past couple of years but hasn't seen anything close to what Naz is going to show them on Sat. SPEED KILLS!!

Who is the best pure passer then??

Frankly, I don't think there

Have you seen JJ play live? I have. He's great because he's dual threat.

@LHSTigers94

As soon as you typed the word “if” you created an assumption...it doesn’t need to tied to any specific intent... “if” by itself is the assumption.

I know you think you are super smart, I didn't mention ANY team in comparison therefore I didn't make an assumption that RM would do anything.

You're right, he's not the best pure passer in the state. He's the best pure passer in the Midwest. By a large margin. Dual threat my ***. They ran the read option against us 6 times, he kept it once. Just as a show-me. His ranking is number 2 IN THE COUNTRY as at PRO STYLE passer. This is copied from 247sports.com:
Lean frame right now. Right around the average for height at the position, but needs to fill in more in the coming years. Fantastic arm talent. Can make every throw on the field, is consistent with accuracy and placement and has clean mechanics. Smart, competitive kid who has excelled in big games and big situations. Is not a big big running threat, but shows very good pocket presence, ability to escape the rush and make throws on the move. Passing skills and approach to the game scream multi-year college starter at a high-level, the main concern would be pure strength and adding bulk to his frame.

The statement that started the thread debate you are referencing was the idea of your best (not ONE of your best) athlete at QB. Would you suggest Naz replace JJ at QB with Tyler Morris? Haha to you.

Tyler Macon is better than JJ.

See you make an outlandish claim like this and you put that kid in an unfair spot cuz when people come here to argue against you they have to indirectly throw this kid under the bus in doing so. Kid is obviously talented but if he’s better than McCarthy someone better get on the horn and let the colleges now that. He’s got 4 power 5 offers (illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa state).

Hersey had an opening game kickoff return for a TD

Great players result speak for themselves. There is Never a need to mention anyone else. I don’t have to mention anything negative about Peyton Manning to prove that Tom Brady is great. I don’t have to mention anything negative about Dan Marino to prove that Steve Young was great. So if something negative is said, those are your personal thoughts in which you take the opportunity to let them out in the name of “defending” your kid. That’s BS.
People are entitled to their own opinion and If its different from yours that’s okay. Everyone is not a fan of the same player. Offers nor stars determine how good or talented a kid is. Those are prospect number based on Physical attributes. Has nothing to do with how well a kid can throw the football compared to the next kid.
