Offers nor stars determine how good or talented a kid is. Those are prospect number based on Physical attributes. Has nothing to do with how well a kid can throw the football compared to the next kid.

This is not accurate.

The stars may not represent heart or drive but measurables are an important part of football at the college level.

Measurable's are important at most positions but I think they are overrated at QB just look at all the short QB’s in the NFL now. Having a strong arm, quick release and the ability to read defenses is more important then being 6’3” in my opinion.

Fair enough we define measurable’s differently to me they have always been height, weight, 40, bench press.... the underwear Olympics.

15 yard out, aptitude, etc. These are all factors in a 5 star rating system, not just physical characteristics. If the ratings were done solely on physical characteristics there would be 5 star football prospects who never strapped on a helmet.

Was Lamar Jackson rated a 5 star coming out of high school?

Truth.

But to satisfy my PA friend I will say Naz 42 - RM 7

Usually in 7A or 8A there is always one game that test your championship status. I'm not sure if Naz has had theirs yet this post season. Last year it was Simeon. When ESL won in 16 theirs was GBN.

I think the Naz test is in DeKalb next week. Not sure if MC can stop them, but the game will be their closest of the postseason.

I’m still sticking with the game will be competitive but Naz will win. RM doesn’t really have any top end talent like Naz does but they play very good team football even though they aren’t much to look at. RM plays great ball control offense they wont not score a lot on Naz but they will eat the clock and shorten the game.

28-17 final

Here is my preview on the game that will run in the Cook editions of the Daily Herald:

https://football.dailyherald.com/sp...emifinal-between-rolling-meadows-and-nazareth

Since I have seen Meadows 5 times this season, I would suggest not to underestimate this team.

Everybody always seems to know what they think they need to do to beat Nazareth... usually revolves around getting pressure on McCarthy..... hasn’t worked yet. It implies they are one dimensional and that he needs 4 seconds in the pocket to throw the ball 30 yards down the field. If there is pressure and he needs to get rid of it in 2 seconds on a short route that works too and then you get catch and run big plays because the LB’s are blitzing or they can throw a screen or they can run the ball then when you stop sending the house he will take the 4 seconds and go deep... you blitz and he gets out of the pocket your second level is now behind him and chasing from behind. To truly stop them you need to be able to play a normal solid defense (not sending the house every play) WITH the athletes to match up in the base defense and win the one on one match ups..... haven’t seen the Illinois 7a team with that capability yet. My 2 cents.... since I’ve been reading ALL week about how the magic bullet is pressuring the QB.
