Normally I'd agree, but a million freaking dollars? When inflation is still high? And people are struggling to make ends meet? Yeah, that's a modern day "let them eat cake".
I get it. But that money was never going to the needy.

You will be singing a different tune in a few months.

RDS is going to win Iowa and after that…who knows?
Not if he keeps wearing those boots. He’s short in a lot of ways. Don’t know him too well but he seems to be a divider. Of course I hate any and all politics. Show me a politician and I’ll show you a crook waiting to get caught. Anybody thinks there’s a difference in any of them is a fool.

Politics “getting involved in sports”…..like that’d be a new thing?
Have you NOT noticed what ESPN has turned into the last decade? Everything about that pitiful *** network is politics
How so? Biased maybe, but political?

DeSantis always plays the short game. He latched onto and had his silly war with Disney because some vocal parents decided not to like the Mickey Mouse company anymore. He brings up wokeness more than Cal lectures BBN because the idea of woke is an emotional lightning rod. And this FSU thing is another hollow, emotional lightning rod that no one will be talking about by mid-January. You can tell DeSantis desperately wants a national following, much like Trump has, and it's just not going to happen. He's a more successful Kelly Craft (I bring her up simply because her entire campaign was just saying "woke" countless times). You cannot convince me Ron DeSantis actually gives a crap about the Disney company, wokeness, or whether or not FSU was left out of the playoff.

Hope that is funded by FSU fans and alumni and not tax payor money

Tax payers. Otherwise Desantis would have no reason to be involved unless he’s just taking pub for something that has nothing to do with him.

ESPN is a network that is 98% sports and sports talk. So controlled by your political bias you make up nonsense that everything is political. Let’s turn on ESPN right now and see how everything is political. Around the horn went off, hockey and the greatest hockey family were the last two things talked about. PTI is on now, topics are Juan Soto signing with the Yankees, Shohei Othani, NBA in season tournament, Pats/Steelers, Spurs/T Wolves, Giannis, and 51 points.

Clearly everything political. The politicians who control can sell you any fake outrage and control you. They even have you making up stuff that’s easy to verify that isn’t true. Not only is everything not political, it’s all sports right now.

What did he mean? The gave credit to a black coach or something and therefore political?

Georgia will be about as motivated to play this meaningless bowl game as UK was playing Gardner Webb in the NIT a few years back.

I believe that was the infamous Robert Morris game in 2013. Gardner webb debacle was regular season under bcg. To be fair, calipari has lost so many embarrassing games at UK I understand thinking GW was his as well.

Okays a million dollars for litigation against the ncaa concerning fsu snub from the playoffs
What a waste of tax money Jesus. I like what Ron has done in Florida but this is the kind of **** we don’t need. FSU can more than afford to foot the bill for this nonsense/

Are you slow or something? What about that says I hate Florida?
Well, we already have a Mississippi and now all of Floridas professors are fleeing. I’m just saying it’s kind of mean to want Flirida to be an uneducated Mississippi. I guess if that’s what you like…. I just thought you meant you didn’t like Florida and you’re glad they won’t be able to attract educated talent for their businesses. My bad.

Florida’s professors are fleeing because they can’t promote stupid **** like most other universities peddle now. That’s a good thing. Get a real teacher in there, not an indoctrination center.

Per what I have read, RS wants to sue the College Football Playoff committee. Far as I know the NCAA is not involved in the selection of the teams, the CFP committee makes the decision. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

From reading the article he wants a million to take this to court. It is budgeted for next year. The playoffs will be over what can they get.

I agree with you. Alabama is about as backward an uneducated as they come. They will never hate Desantis.
You're pretty Hard Left, aren't you? You say Alabama is backwards? What about Dade County? Is Miami backwards? Is Miami a hick town in Alabama? Who did Dade County, which is Miami and inner suburbs, vote for in 2022 in the gubernatorial election? Go to Hell with this rabid political, or take it to the Paddock. And screw you for your cheap shots at Alabama.

Read post above excluding S. Florida and my worry it won’t survive in Mississippi.

What "post above", and, is Dade County not part of "South Florida"? Dade County IS South Florida, guy. When your side can't win Dade, you're pretty much toast in the rest of the state, except in Orlando which is itself not exactly 100% your side. Like it or not, Florida is more red than Texas. If you don't like it, eat it, and be happy that Georgia is now in play every election.

And, if makes you feel better take chicken **** stereotype shots at Alabama and Mississippi, two states which I am very familiar with and have better people than you seem to be. As a matter of fact, those cheap nasty shots at Alabama and Mississippi remind me of the nasty crap that U6 fans talk about Kentucky.

Yes. That would be why I directed you to my post excluding S. Florida in response to your post about Miami-Dade County. And yes, I agree with you Florida is becoming less educated and more redneck. I never said otherwise.

You're missing the point. Dade County voted DeSantis. Is Dade County also becoming "redneck" and go to Hell for using that disgusting and racist slur.

The color is correct, though Dade was very close for the Presidential election in 2020. DeSantis didn't run in 2020, dum dum. His most recent election was in 2022 when he won Dade County against Crist, and also won every South Florida county, except Broward, and outperformed expectations in Broward by a lot. I guess I should have been more specific. But I mistakenly assumed you would know what election I referred to. Anyway, take your partisan **** to the Political Thread on the Paddock, and see what how you like your ratio. Talk about "Deathsantis" over there.

I don’t focus on such things. I watch ESPN for their sports coverage. I don’t watch any of their other programming as it does not interest me. You should try the simpler approach. I believe you would be much happier and your blood pressure would thank you.

Edit, you are really are dumb. I SPECIFICALLY referred to the 2022 election when I brought up Dade County in the first place. Take your 2020 link and eat it, billybob.

Yes. Like I previously said, Miami is becoming less educated as that demonstrates. I’m worried they won’t be able to attract business talent as more Trump/ Desantis type people move in. Looks like Broward still voted Democrat (who had issues of his own). Then there is the Cuban factor. They tend to be smart and educated but often vote with their white opposites for complicated reasons.

Your own blood pressure would thank you if you didn't post ridiculous things like it takes FIVE YEARS to go to a bowl after a coaching change. I cited many many mediocre programs who went to a bowl within a year or two after a coaching change. Remember that thread? I'll bump it for you to have an opportunity to respond.
