Yikes....on the NU athletic site.......for the summer roster we have 12 players listed, two of which are walk ons How and when will the roster be finished for the upcoming season ? Are they going to give the walk ons scholarships and hold on to open spots for next years class? Are they still working on transfers? They almost have more coaches and graduate assistants than scholarship players,,,,an injury of two and it is back to open call to the student body...

I'm certainly rooting for Robbie to have a big year this year to silence some of his critics. Also, I hope his off-season improvement is better than all those Miller Kopp summer hype videos we would see.
In retrospect, the video of Kopp — now with a buzz cut — crossing over an pulling up like a boss was just as predictive as Yi Jianlian dominating a chair.
(Someone has insisted it’s real.)
Gus is Gus Hurlburt, 6'9" "preferred" walk-on from Enderlin, North Dakota.
His twin brother Joe got offers from Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State and Ohio State.
Gus got excellent grades, but no great offers. He probably just wanted to attend Northwestern.
But it is kinda cool of Beran to mention him in a positive way.
Beran does have a nice jump shot. I hope he continues to improve - I'm confident he will, its just a question of how much. "A little" isn't quite enough as he will be expected to show some leadership with Young and Nance departed.
I always wondered if people just start reading a thread and ask questions without finishing the thread to see if that question has been answered further down. I guess they do.
