Need to see, but I like Kam's length and athleticism moreI think Noah helps this team in the rotation.
Man people seem to love the guy that had 5 points but didn’t show up in the previous 4 games. I get he finally looked good but some of you are embarrassing with your knee jerk reactions. Kinda like Cal when a guy would miss a good look at 3 and then sit the bench.Agree give kam a shot in Noways spot
I know it won’t happen but I would start Lowe over Oweh.Mine:

Yeah, calling for Kam to get Owehs mins seems a bit unhinged. But I think there’s some merit to getting him some run in the small ball 4 spot.Man people seem to love the guy that had 5 points but didn’t show up in the previous 4 games. 3 of the next 4 games seem to be easier ones so it would be a good time to see how he does at the 4.Yeah, calling for Kam to get Owehs mins seems a bit unhinged. But I think there’s some merit to getting him some run in the small ball 4 spot.
Yeah, sitting Garrison and Oweh? Ill believe that when I see itI'll trust Pope to make the rotation.
No way Garrison isn't n it though IMO.
Not to mention it hurts with the top incoming freshmen recruits. What elite freshman doesn't want to play 20+ mins?Gonna need more data.
Based on last nights game, one could easily argue that Johnson and Oweh shouldn't be in the rotation, but we all know that probably is not optimal.
This roster size is a curse and a blessing. We get a little buffer to deal with injuries but it is then difficult to optimize how we play given the shear volume of participants and their varied skillsets.
I hadn't given that much consideration but Jelly at the 5 would be dangerous. His ability to pass, shoot, and run the floor could outweigh any negatives. I'd imagine he would create better spacing and drop some dimes.I would like to see Kam play the 4 some, maybe even put Jelavic at the 5 some until we JQ in there. Jelavic is a good passer and you have to defend him at the arc. Lowe, Chandler, Aberdeen, Williams and Jelavic should open up the cutting lanes much better. I doubt we see any of that but might be fun.
Totally agree.3 of the next 4 games seem to be easier ones so it would be a good time to see how he does at the 4.
Agreed on Oweh. That’s kinda funny thinking Oweh wouldn’t get the start. We need him going on all eight. Only way he doesn’t start is for the injury to severely limit his minutes.
BG in the same boat. Some of you guys need to hang on to your day jobs. Benching a guy for a couple of bad games is lunacy
Sitting Oweh is silly. Playing Garrison is equally as silly. But you are correct, Pope is going to play them both.Yeah, sitting Garrison and Oweh? Ill believe that when I see it
Most shot blocking comes from off the ball, not on the ball. But this team, currently, doesn't have anything close to a rim protector. We need Mo to be really good. We really need JQ. He’s at minimum, a big time rim protector.
I like Moreno, but, so far, he doesn’t seem to block shots, despite being 7 foot. I counted three times against Louisville, that he could’ve attempted to block a shot, but, instead, stood flat footed with his arms up.
I don't think he'll use it, but there's a section of the fanbase that will point to it all season long. How long is Oweh going to use the “ I’m playing hurt” card? Maybe he should sit out the cuppity cakes games instead of padding his stats.
Maybe it is more that everybody knows what Oweh is - a decent college player with flawed shooting mechanics that jeopardize his chance to play in the League. And he looks a bit disinterested this year.Man people seem to love the guy that had 5 points but didn’t show up in the previous 4 games. Garrison is trashI'll trust Pope to make the rotation.

Kam over NoahLowe ---------Back up------------Aberdeen
Aberdeen-------------------------Noah
Oweh-----------------------------Chandler
Jelavic-----------------------------MoD
Moreno (JQ if gets ready)-------One of these two
But you don't have to sub all 5. Have to keep scorers on the floor as well as D.
I could go with that but need to see more from him first. He can still get minutes while showing something. I do agree he needs more minutes to show what he's got.Kam over Noah
And maybe Kam has 2 minutes of good play and 4 games of nothing at all. I know what Oweh is, knew what he was last year and that he wasn’t going to magically change this year. He’s above a “decent” college player but he is not a star. He can be your 2 or 3rd best player but he better not be your best.Maybe it is more that everybody knows what Oweh is - a decent college player with flawed shooting mechanics that jeopardize his chance to play in the League. And he looks a bit disinterested this year.
I understand this, but when you switch, and find yourself in front of a 6’7 player, and you’re 7 foot, you should be able to block the shot. At least leave your feet and attempt to.Most shot blocking comes from off the ball, not on the ball. But this team, currently, doesn't have anything close to a rim protector.
I don't disagree. Kam blocked one or two that exact way in that game. Moreno and Garrison neither one are shot blockers. I like Moreno tons better simply because he rebounds better, is at least a speed bump in PnR situations, and isn't a complete spaz on offense.I understand this, but when you switch, and find yourself in front of a 6’7 player, and you’re 7 foot, you should be able to block the shot. Everybody has some player they hate. C’est la vie. Regardless, they need him playing to his potential. Only way to achieve that is play him.Agreed on Oweh.
There's not another coach in America that would play BG the mins he's getting on this squad. I'll never understand Pope's agenda with that kid. He might be a great kid off the court, but his immaturity and lack of any consistent growth on the court is glaringly obvious.
Maybe cause turf toe? Just sayin. Or is this one of those statute of limitations kind of things? Can only claim injury for six months no matter how many bones are poking out?I don't think he'll use it, but there's a section of the fanbase that will point to it all season long.
