My game wasn't great but with EVille making a 5 plus hour commute I wasn't expecting much.

You?

Pregame there were 50 people and not one kid in the student section. Zero!! Easily the smallest playoff crowd I’ve seen at MS.

Oak Lawn was not very crowded and a small seating section (only one side of field) to begin with. Even more cleared out after StL’s 28 point first quarter and the rain started. Thought there would be more people because the schools are less than three miles apart. I think Halloween had to do with it.

Not good. It ended up having *some* fans but not even close to last week. We had some decent rain in the 1st half in addition to Halloween. Hopefully it picks up at New Trier next Saturday

At LWEast in Frankfort the students were maybe 40% of usual. Overall home side 60%. Visitors from Stevenson stands were 30%.
Officials were in full attendance.
Students paying is the issue and sucks, but the cash cow IHSA needs to be fed.

Saint Patrick had their visitor bleachers full with a couple dozen standing. Wauconda pretty much filled the bleachers on their sideline. Both crowds cheered well from start to finish. Best of luck to the Shamrocks moving forward.

Been parking at least 2 blocks away from the stadium for Montini home and road games all season. Today the parking lot was half full and the home stands were half full. And I hated to see it, but the visiting bleachers were completely empty. Montini fans went over to fill some seats in mid 1Q.

Big shout out to the Bronzeville kids. I think they had 24 players dressed…. Mostly freshmen and sophs. Threw two-pick 6’s on the first two plays of the game. Couldn’t have been easy for those guys, but they kept lining up and playing football. Good luck to all those guys in their future endeavors.

Not surprised. Two proud communities that love football.
Friday night helped too....I've noticed in Morris in recent years Saturday games have fewer in attendance...even students involved are less like in band where many kids have jobs on Saturdays. Back in the day they(Morris) tried to have games at 5 or 6 pm on Saturdays. Seems like most are 3 or 4 pm now.

Friday night this year probably hurt most games since it was Halloween. I agree on Saturday night games, not sure why we don't see more of those. It just feels off watching a home Morris game during the day time.

Hinsdale Central bright more fans to South Elgin than SE did. And it was on HC parents and family there. Maybe a few hundred total in attendance.

Lot of Halloween Hangovers it seemed for a MC/LA game. The 4:30 start time probably didn't help. Average at best crowd for a game like this. Maybe 70 LA students. 150 MC students and then the parents and loyal fans of both

Between that and the football team, isn't that almost half of MCs student body?

Michael O'Brien called the game at Glenbrook South probably the smallest 8A attendance he's ever seen.

Michael O'Brien called the game at Glenbrook South probably the smallest 8A attendance he's ever seen.

It was a late arriving crowd for sure, but not close to the lowest attendance of the season. Probably 250-300 students at the end of the second quarter. GBS even got the game time wrong on its instagram, which I'm sure didn't help.

However, the entire student section minus about 20 kids cleared out at halftime. Keep in mind the score was 27-7 at the time and it looked like it was going to be a blowout. I wonder how many would have stayed for a competitive game.
