Not surprised. Two proud communities that love football.Geneseo vs Rochelle. Estimate. 4,000. Packed.
Friday night helped too....I've noticed in Morris in recent years Saturday games have fewer in attendance...even students involved are less like in band where many kids have jobs on Saturdays. Back in the day they(Morris) tried to have games at 5 or 6 pm on Saturdays. Seems like most are 3 or 4 pm now.Not surprised. Two proud communities that love football.
Friday night this year probably hurt most games since it was Halloween. I agree on Saturday night games, not sure why we don't see more of those. It just feels off watching a home Morris game during the day time.Friday night helped too....I've noticed in Morris in recent years Saturday games have fewer in attendance...even students involved are less like in band where many kids have jobs on Saturdays. Between that and the football team, isn't that almost half of MCs student body?Lot of Halloween Hangovers it seemed for a MC/LA game. The 4:30 start time probably didn't help. Average at best crowd for a game like this. Maybe 70 LA students. 150 MC students and then the parents and loyal fans of both

Michael O'Brien called the game at Glenbrook South probably the smallest 8A attendance he's ever seen.
