I'll say it again.....you're an idiot. But I feel like playing along today.
It's cute that UNC offered those courses to every student, but it was still systemic cheating organized by the school and athletic department. It's one thing to offer 'easy' classes. I agree that all schools have those and always will. UNC went many steps further.
Again, this isn't about being squeaky clean. Unfortunately, Division I athletics is big, big business that often alienates the students the NCAA says they care about so deeply. Schools do things for some of these students that would draw slaps on the wrists....I don't dent that. I don't think all schools go to the lengths of UNC, though.
Duke recruits the best players in the country, just like they have for the past 35 years. So does UNC. As is life, times change. Today, kids who are being forced to attend college have made a mockery of the system. That's not on Duke, or UK. It's on the NCAA. The Heels are going to have two kids this season doing the same thing. It's college basketball, unfortunately. Every Duke fan would change it today with a snap of the finger, if they could.
I'm not sure if you're implying us paying players and covering up sexual assaults, or just saying it in general. When talking about cover-ups, I don't feel going down that road is a safe one for any UNC fan.
Lastly, do you know what 'reclassify' means? Stupid people thinks it means that kids are jumping ahead a grade, but that's not it. Reclassifying means they're going back to their original class. UNC is recruiting those kids, too, just to let you know.
