Since I live in Richmond, I was wondering... Did UK ever had Roy Kidd in their coaching searches?
I'm answering this with a super-foggy memory. I seem to recall he was mentioned in passing I think around the time Claiborne was hired. Could've been afterward however. I don't know if he was ever seriously considered but could've received a "courtesy" interview. Hagan was too preoccupied thinking up reasons not to hire Schenellenberger.Since I live in Richmond, I was wondering... Did UK ever had Roy Kidd in their coaching searches?
I think he was considered when Brooks was hired but I could be wrong.
Probably not, he was around 70 then. Of course, Brooks was getting pretty long in the tooth too.

That is so true. Cliff Hagan was the absolute worst athletic director any D1 school could have ever hired. He is reviled today by many in Lexington for his inability to do anything more than get paid on his reputation as one of Adolph Rupp's best players of his era. If you want to trace the downfall of UK athletics, look no further than his time as AD.I'm answering this with a super-foggy memory.
