That's why I love watching this team. They don't give up outs , and don't try for personal stats.
I love the Royals approach at the plate. They are agressive with less than 2 strikes, but once they get down in the count they shorten up and look to put the ball in play putting pressure on the defense. Young ball players should watch them and take note. All 9 can get the job done. Pretty impressive they have been the most difficult team to strike out the last 4 years.
Hosmer going 1st to 3rd on Granderson last night was proof of that. The Royals routinely take advantage of suspect throwing arms in the outfield.
This is how teams without great power top to bottom should play. The strikeout is the easiest play to defend if you have a catcher who can catch.
Younger players need to see and learn that the royals are doing it the right way. More coaches need to as well.
