Nice round. Congrats!

I played a Par 3 course with my son last week. That was pretty fun. Going on vacation and I'm on the fence with taking my clubs. I don't think my son's clubs will be re-shafted by then and I hate to leave him behind.

Maybe. His head is swelling a bit because he has graduated to stiff shafts. He wanted heavy stiff's, but my club maker friend told him not just yet. He needed to work out more. I was little surprised his club head speed was 79 on a 6-iron.

Going to try Potomac Highlands Saturday - hope it's still in good condition.

Awesome! Your best round ever and you're what...60-65 years old? Pretty incredible! That reminds me of my optometrist friend, J who I went to Pebble with a few years ago. One of his sons took up golf while he was growing up and got into it. So J decided to take it up too and started taking lessons at the age of 50. He kept at it getting a lesson a week and now over 10 years later, he's a single digit.

Another amusing thing about J, he lives just down the street from a 100+ year old club where all the blue bloods belong. Very WASPY. Donald Ross course. Very nice highfalutin place. They admitted their first Black member about 25 years ago when UT basketball coach, Wade Houston, was given a membership which had apparently been a UT tradition. That rankled some feathers and made the papers at the time. Anyway, since J lived so close, he decided it would make sense to join there. Only problem was, he's Jewish and they had never had a Jewish member. He applied and went through the process and accepted. I'm still amazed at his audacity.

I played today at Rock Harbor near Winchester ,Va and in the parking lot was a BMW with the West Virginia license plate " WVBRU"........thought you might find that interesting....shot 80

Not I but that is interesting. I started with that handle when I first signed on the internet for the first time in the early 90's on my AOL account. Have had it on many different things ever since.
