I don't think he's overrated. I think he's not a fit for our team. We need improvisations. He's a pure arm. The kinda guy that will go pro and be an NFL star and confuse OU fans that never saw him do much.
We're a piece-part team that needs improvisation... Mayfield and Murray were kings of that.
From what I have seen all season I had a feeling our luck was running out and today would be the day. Oh well.
Good thing he signed those $500 autographs in the off season. Thank goodness for this environment where even nobodies can make a buck on a gamble.

No run game.... No game at all. Taco Tech was the perfect experimental protocol that showed all air can make bad athletes look good but never amount to anything. Good players establish run games and they win championships.

Well said. We have the athletes on defense but keep running zone defense due to lack of trust.
Rattler has the arm, but we fail to run an offense that takes advantage of a perfect arm, great skill players, and no OLine. People know how to do this.
I dont think Riley has failed him at all. As mentioned earler I dont think Rattler is a good fit for this offense.
if anything the entire coaching staff is failing our fanbase and honestly we keep believing all the BS. Defense has reverted to D of old.
on the bright side you can just see how the players respond to CW vs Rattler
I look at this and see, "run the ball!"2 turnovers that led to 14 pts. Otherwise it would be 24-20 right now.
I think Williams needs to play the whole 2nd half unless he turns it over too. The O seemed to flow for the series he was in. I think the team may revolt if Rattler comes out to start the 2nd half
Ou needed to get a stop before the half score some points and then needed a touchdown to start the second half. That didnt happen so not sure they have it in them to make the comeback. Riley is to soft and shows no emotion, he's probably shedding tears in the locker room right now.
Come out and score, and then we'll all have a new conversation to discuss. We can still do this.
I agree....if Williams comes out and drives them down the field right off the bat then all bets are off.
The only positive I see going into the second half is that the players havent given up yet. Our D is playing hard but lack of coaching to put them in right position is killing them.
I want to see Williams the rest of game but bet we see Rattler. If the D can get a couple of stops and our O get 2 TDs in 3rd our boys still have a shot. Big order though with what we seen in first half

DB's are giving the WR's a free release every play. Davis isnt good enough to play with their freshman wr.
This is that zone complaint I've been harping. I'm not sold that our DBs are inadequate. I'm still on the side that our coaches are disserving them.
Would like to know how many times OU goes 3 and out after halftime. It happens more times than not.

Shout out to Scottsdale that shared his inside knowledge that Caleb was a real option this week should Rattler not fulfill. We're watching it realtime.
So we all know field goals ain't winning this game...why are we kicking fields goals? I get it if we have a shutdown defense but we do not have a shutdown defense. And the best player on the field today is Overshown...good gosh he is killing it.
