Every year you see someone make a run in these conference tournaments that doesn't figure to be a factor.

Why not Rutgers ?

IF we have:
  • "home" Corey, on fire, Sanders for 6 games
  • and Geo feels better
  • and Mike Williams + Thiam get a couple of really good games from behind the arc.
Then we have a chance at making a run. But all of those things only came together for maybe 1 or 2 games this year (Iowa, @MSU, Purdue) .. and we still lost 2/3 of those games.

Soooooo I'd say, lets just beat Minnesota and take it from there.

I'll take the points too. I have Corey for 25+ , a solid outing from a healthier Geo, and getting a strong game on the glass from our bigs--with Mike W. sneaking in for 3-4 important boards.

Straight-up W for the good guys (that's us-LOL).

Not so sure about Game 2...

Mike Williams has always played well at MSG. Hopefully he can have a great game. Minnesota has Isaiah Washington from NYC as well as two other local kids in McBrayer and Harris from the Patrick School.

If (yes, it's a BIG "if"...) we play our best for 2 games there is NO reason we can't beat both Minny and Indy, playing our way into the quarters on Friday, which would be fantastic IMHO.

Has any team won a post-season tourney playing 3 or more nights in a row?

So far I found Syracuse in 2006 won 4 games in a row to win the Big East (Gerry McNamara starred)

wow.. my source for the Syracuse thing had multiple examples.. USA Today

Michigan won four straight games in consecutive days last year.

2008 Georgia went 4-12 in the SEC then won four in four days (two on one day because of a tornado) to get the auto bid.
