RU-PSU game thread

[RUonBrain]

We should be blowing them out.

Need to clean up the turnovers, make some FTs, and this game is ours.

[TonyLieske]

PSU looks horrible. But RU only up by 6...probably not a good sign.

[ScarletKid2008]

Our depth at gaurd is really bad. Nigel is hurt and we got Dadika in there who is absolutely not even a remote threat to even shoot the ball. Never mind score

[RUonBrain]

Can we please not let that guy shoot 3s?

No one else can make a bucket

[soundcrib]

Why are we afraid to dunk the ball?

[RUONTHERISE]

Great job by Freeman to get that ball in play

[bac2therac]

22-15...Garner has 12, everyone else stone cold for PSU.

Eugene has to make that easy shot under the basket

[shields]

Jake is no threat.

[PatrickRU92]

Listen I know we are limited right but Dadika doesn't even attempt to look for a shot. I would love to see him shoot it. You have to keep them honest. We are playing 4 against 5 on offense, and the other 4 can't score either . so what if he misses, so will everyone else

eugene got mugged with no call.

[bac2therac]

RU should be up double digits, if this game is tied at halftime, not going to be a good sign, have to maintain this lead and try to stretch it as much as we can. PSU will not be cold all game long.

[RUonBrain]

I was a little concerned how we would come out after the nightmare vs Iowa.
No effort in that game.

I am very happy how we are playing.
THIS looks like a Pikiell team.

Let's keep playing like this!

[NewJerseyHawk]

With more complete players, these games that are 7 point leads late in the first half, would be 11-13....like Seton Hall, like at Iowa, vs Wisconsin.etc.....it's tough to watch and know the record would be better, but it's also good to see some return to some of the defense and rebounding we are used to seeing.

Ideally, you pick up the scoring in the first half, this has the look and feel of Minnesota's game at Penn State a couple of weeks ago....they led wire to almost-wire, and it was a game in the low 50's....that's where this game has to stay for RU to win....RU has to be up double digits at the half to win....

[RUonBrain]

Mike Williams
Dammit - stay on the f*cking guy!

[RU848789]

Can't leave Garner so wide open. How many teams have destroyed us from three this year?

[PatrickRU92]

wtf is that????

[Jim_from_RU]

Of course, the other team hits threes with unbelievable ease.

[RUonBrain]

That is ******** giving him an extra FT because of the horn.

I am sure if he made it, it would have counted.

That would be a good strategy by home team score keeper.

[PatrickRU92]

YES MIke

[BillyC80]

Williams!

[BillyC80]

Nice pass!

[RUONTHERISE]

Nice pass by freeman

[PatrickRU92]

that was an awesome pass by Freeman

[BillyC80]

Freeman great rebound!

[RUONTHERISE]

Nice board by freeman

[PatrickRU92]

thats the story of us. WIDE open 3 which would have put us up 10--Knock it down dammit

[RUonBrain]

Thiam with a gorgeous cut, and pass from Freeman.

[BillyC80]

Too many turnovers, damn.

[PatrickRU92]

F you Shep

[PatrickRU92]

Cry me a river you zombie f***s

[BillyC80]

Freeman looking good.

[BillyC80]

RU up 29-20, 3:54 to go in the half.

[RUONTHERISE]

So far so good. Long way to go.

[RU848789]

Some of you need to just STFU about Freeman. He has 9 double-doubles this year and always plays hard and is a decent FT shooter, too. Yes, he is flawed and needs to force it less inside, but he's not "horrible" or "the worst."

[FrankZ_RU93]

Can we do anything but let him shoot wide open 3s anymore?

[80RU]

Please no nine point lead jinx again – – –

Gettys too. He isn't Bill Rusell but he's a solid player on both ends

[bac2therac]

29-20 so far so good, RU has responded to every PSU mini run

Garner has all 5 buckets for PSU....no one else has hit a shot, the other 5 points are from free throws...5-7, everyone else 0-12

PSU shooting a horrid 26%

RU shooting 11-21 for 52% and outrebounded PSU 19-8

[RUonBrain]

Unbelievable that with under 4 to go, no 2 point FGs by PSU

So much for that ...

[soundcrib]

We have to be the worst layup makkng team in america
