"Anthony Brown is a BC commit. But that should be no problem for Ash."

So, RU, are you suggesting that its O K to go after someone else's recruit after that kid has already verballed to another school?

Guess you don't expect your new coach to have any ETHICS, just so long as you get what you want?

1. Nice violation of board rules. You'll be banned shortly.

2. Butthurt doesn't become you. There's no such thing, officially, as a "verbal commitment", the concept itself is virtually worthless - especially within the last 5 years or so.

3. Go collar up, or something.

Yeah BC and ETHICS. LOL. "We are not interested in leaving the Big East" while negotiating their deal with the ACC. Enjoy collegiate purgatory at BC.

Purgatory ? What would you call the situation that Rutgers is in then ? Full on seventh circle of hell ?

Some nerve bringing up B C's departure from the BE. Why then is Rutgers not still in the AAC? Talk about abandoning a sinking ship.

As far as the "ethics' go, perhaps its more about PROFESSIONAL COURTESY. Coaches should set the example by respecting another's recruited kid. If Ash is any kind of recruiter, he can use his network to find enough quality kids who are not committed anywhere yet. He doesn't have to try to poach someone else'

So you were serious?!? You must not follow recruiting at all. Until signing day, all recruits are 'verbals' which doesn't mean much these days. A 'commitment' just let's everyone know which school they're leaning towards. I'm not suggesting this is a good thing but it most certainly is the way it is for all schools (BC included). Or are you going to tell me BC never flipped a kid? Does the name Jon Hilliman ring a bell?

BC stole a few recruits from Rutgers when they were already committed due to some shaky situation.

Even aside from any of this, are we really pretending that every school doesn't go after the kids they want, regardless of verbal commitment?

Your team is absolutely an afterthought in the ACC. You have totally fallen off the radar of anyone who watches football. Flutie was a long time ago.

You do sound scared. Rutgers was up front about the move. The Ethics in question are the lies. I don't expect you to get it.

ETA: Bold and Italics don't make your point stronger. LOL.

I miss the BC fans. They were masters of ironic comedy. This thread shows they're still good at it.

As others have mentioned, how about Jon Hilliman flipping to you guys? Yeah we had Mickey Mouse as a coach but apparently the Dazzler has no ethics since he kept pursuing an already committed player.

Or does it only cut the way you want it to? I'm sure your rebuttal will be that Hilliman reached out to BC and the Dazzler just listened. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Must be an old timer. The game has moved on from whenever there any such courtesy existed. Now, kids are recruited until they sign, period.

# 2: you mean recruits don't honor their verbals
Do you think Ash is the only HC that will contact someone who verbally committed to another school
That njbcfan has a right to be upset, it's not like Boston College ever broke their wordo_O

Looking forward to Anthony Brown decommitting from BC :D
