Rubber vs Plate

I was watching a Padres/Braves game with the Padres announcers using one of these descriptions. Which one you got?

It was always referred to as a "rubber" in my day....
As in ... "your foot has to be off the rubber" pitcher/pick off throw......

Home plate? Yes. Pitcher's plate? Never heard of it.

Yeah...never heard anyone use "plate" for the pitcher's rubber.

"Plate" is home plate.

The pitcher's plate does exist. It's the one on the bottom.

We can debate about what the "pitcher's(ing) rubber" is/is not, but there's no question that this is the only rubber for hitters...

If it's good enough for Teddy Ballgame, it's good enough for me.

This is what I thought. I've never heard pitcher's plate...ever.
