Yeah. The center that skipped nearly every snap off the turf in the Rose Bowl.
He’ll probably help UMich beat tOSU with his snaps next November too…..he always wanted to be a Michigan Man and just going about it in a new way.
Yeah. The center that skipped nearly every snap off the turf in the Rose Bowl.
Maybe you should look in the mirror.I'd overlook that his dad is a dirt bag if I thought this was a good addition.
Yeah we’re all tired of listening to your broken record.I'm not going to repeat myself. The evaluation of his coaches at Wisconsin speaks for itself.
I do every day.Maybe you should look in the mirror.
Then don't listen, dipstick, or is finding the "Ignore" button beyond your pay grade.Yeah we’re all tired of listening to your broken record.
I know Rucci didn’t have the results everyone expected as a 5 star recruit. However, he’s spent 3 seasons in a major college football weight room, film room, and practice field. I saw a few snaps he played in their bowl game after the starter got hurt and he looked pretty good. I think he may be the OT in the portal that would be the best fit and I think he might be ready for a much bigger role wherever he lands. I’d feel a lot better about him coming to PSU than the kid that briefly committed and then ended up at MD.
Despite this, we'll find a way to lose to them.Ohio State has more issues than PSU right now. They’ve lost all confidence in their coach and had nearly 20 kids transfer out including the starting QB who left before the season even ended. Not a good look.
I wouldn’t expect any different response from you. Always negative. Strong work.Despite this, we'll find a way to lose to them.
Keep in mind:The goal is to maximize your roster, not make arbitrary comparisons to others teams' units/transfers. You don't "lose ground" by improving your OL room, and Rucci does that. Playing time aside, he is a good player with some valuable college experience and a high ceiling.
The fact that Penn State is bringing him in tells you he is expected to add more value than a kid who gets cut. Penn State was not forced to take him, and they're aware of scholarship limitations.Keep in mind:
PSU is around 10-12 over the 85 limit already - ie, 10-12 kids will need to be cut between now and this summer.
Every kid added through the portal means yet another kid needs to be cut.... it is not a game of "every add is a plus", since every add requires someone else to be cut.
Would this player add more to the roster than the guy who gets cut? Who knows?
You also have the less immediate impact of whether it helps or hurts a program to become known as the place where guys are cut loose if they don't provide enough value. That is a trickier question.
The "Wisky LB" is coming in as a walk on.![]()
Unofficial 2024 Penn State Football Scholarship Chart
What does the Penn State football scholarship chart look like heading into next season?pennstate.rivals.com
This list shows 98/85, so 13 over the limit This does not include Rucci, so 99/85. Cephas (who committed to Minny) is not on it, nor is the recent Wisky LB - so 100/85 is where I think it is.
My take to portal out/processed based solely on throwing crap against the wall to see what sticks....
Meiga
Achumba
Traori
Townley (he did before)
Elsdon
Sahadayk
Smolik
Ivey
Johnson
Cross
Vilbert
Clifford
Artis
That leaves 2 more....
Tyler Beach was the Badgers LT in 2021. Nelson was shifted to LT in 2022 after being the starter at RG in 2021.The fact that Penn State is bringing him in tells you he is expected to add more value than a kid who gets cut. Penn State was not forced to take him, and they're aware of scholarship limitations.
Are you assuming that he's being "cut loose" at Wisconsin for not performing? Looks to me like he was the backup left tackle as a RS soph. Starter was Jack Nelson, 3-yr starter, 5star by 247, 6'7" 311lb RS Junior, projects as a 3rd round pick.
why didn't more of these people hit the portal so they could transfer in the spring to get a new start?![]()

A lot will change as we move into spring ball. Kids will be buried, others will get hurt. Its a game of numbers and probabilities now.why didn't more of these people hit the portal so they could transfer in the spring to get a new start?
clearly this cut will be bigger than normal.
The answer to this is taxing. Carry on.why didn't more of these people hit the portal so they could transfer in the spring to get a new start?

Why would you put (sic) after your in his quoted post? Your is correct. And who the heck uses (sic) on a freaking football message board?"Valuable college experience" = 70 snaps in three years.
As for "maximizing your (sic) roster" Rucci is taking away a scholarship from someone already at PSU, and potentially a 2025 prospect.
"Sic" is used to denote that a word is quoted exactly as written. Probably should have put another one after "maximizing," too. Happier now?Why would you put (sic) after your in his quoted post? Your is correct. And who the heck uses (sic) on a freaking football message board?
"Sic" is used when there is an error in what you're quoting and you want to point out the error is in the original and not in your quote. There was no error in what you quoted."Sic" is used to denote that a word is quoted exactly as written. Probably should have put another one after "maximizing," too. Happier now?
Odd or erroneous. To whom does "your" refer?"Sic" is used when there is an error in what you're quoting and you want to point out the error is in the original and not in your quote. There was no error in what you quoted.
