If last night Indiana got a Flagrant 1 what would have changed?
Same free throws for both teams that happend, but RU would have gotten the ball after?
Not sure what would have materially changed.

Ru shot the free throws that they were supposed to shoot, so Indiana would have gotten the ball regardless.

There wasn't a difference for this other than an ejection

Unrelated rule question that’s been bugging me for a while - what’s the rule on which team gets the ball to start the 2nd half?

If Team A wins the opening tip and there is no tie ups or wedges (ball stuck between rim and backboard) team B gets the ball at half on alternating possession.

Its like a tieup, whoever has the possession arrow gets it

If double technicals you don’t shoot the free throws — they cancel out. So Hyatt still would’ve shot the 1/1 but Indiana wouldn’t have shot their free throws

Watched the Johnson-Paul match many times. Don’t see a flagrant 2. Johnson fouls Paul then proceeds to push him to the bench. With the push, Paul’s arms go backwards over his head and as he rights himself his arms come down with his left elbow near Johnson’s head, but not hitting him. Johnson goes into a flop routine. Johnson also initiated the contact in Paul earlier in the game when Paul got called for the foul. Johnson was pushing and taunting RU players the whole game and then refused the handshake line. Hope this game moved them out of big dance

It's just the next held ball carrying over from the first half.
this....

I LOVE!!!! Cliff's Jumpball (I think he's about 28-4 or something this year)....

However, sometimes (given how well we play 2nd half)..... winning the opening jump is "eh" :)

I don't know what the rule is for retaliation. Is there a point at which common sense kiccs in and a rewtaliatorty response is let go?

What a punk! He was so over the top grabbing his head, I would have laughed but the refs actually bought it
