or plans to talk with Auburn about replacing Wil Muschamp.

Don't have access to read it on the Auburn Bunker. Don't shoot the messenger. Didn't see anything on here about it. Just a FYI.

Not really a fan of Grantham but really not surprised...a lot of good openings across the country

TG has been a good DC since he's been here. With the openings wouldn't suprise me if he decided to leave. If Schanio was interested he would be a homerun IMO.

Cards need Continuity. It's a lot to pay, but having the same guys is very helpful.

Let him go.....not worth the $1 Million/year and I don't like him using us for a pay raise.....again.

I think we pay to keep him. Once the offense grows up in Petrino's system, a top 20 defense - such as what Grantham has given us two years in a row now - will establish us as a serious contender for the ACC championship.

I had some frustrations with our defense early in the season, mainly fundamental skills on tackling. However, I thought they improved a lot as the season went on. I would like to see Grantham stay he sure is doing a good job recruiting.

I'm a Georgia fan that lives in Kentucky FYI. Saw it on Georgia and Auburn's Rivals sites. I like UofL. Not trying to stir anything up. Grantham did this every year at UGA. Has a great agent I guess.

If we wanna play with the big boys, we gotta pay the piper.

We'll not get a comparable replacement for significantly less money so I won't worry about the pay/.

We seem to have the blocks in place right now. Why screw with it if money is all it takes to keep it building?

I think you have to pay the man if a pay raise is what it take to keep him. We have a program heading in the right direction and need to keep traveling in that direction. Keeping the staff in place is probably most important. We have played Clemson and FSU close the first 2 years, we are very close.

I agree and he is a good recruiter. We need to keep this class together.

Clemson I agree, FSU as blown our doors off in the second half both years we played.

Have to learn to finish games, and having a QB like Jackson and an improved offensive line will help that. A QB who can scramble to get first downs and extend passing plays on 3rd down is something excellent to have.

I can't imagine Aubie spending > 1 mil for a DC. Hell I can hardly believe we do it. We did that, I'm sure, to lock him down. TG is ok with me, but I'd like to see better tackling. We could really have a tremendous defense next year.

We pay both our coordinators over a mil each if you factor in buy-outs and we are still barely in the top 20 in the nation for staff salary. Top coordinators are riching the 1.5 mil mark.

Defense is more about emotion and desire. It requires great coaching and inspiration/motivation. Not just basics and technique.

PLAYERS: Know, Observe, Think, Understand, Help, React, Quick, Strong, Finish.

Grantham is worth another season or two. Keep the coaches together.

We are all going to be quite satisfied and happy with these Cards --- and with all of this Cards staff --- who are all staying together cohesively --- as they will have SERIOUSLY competed for the College Football National Championship in both 2017 and 2018.

These Cards are going to obliterate a bunch of good teams in those two seasons!

Keep this coaching staff all together!

What do you think of your new HC and the staff he is putting together.

I was a big Mark Richt fan and hated to see him go. With that said, Kirby Smart was a great replacement. Former UGA player, coached and learned under Saban, great recruiter. Will be interesting to see how he completes his staff. Will not know until Bama is done. Glad he still is with Bama. Owes it to their players IMO.

Yeah, my dad told me one time when I was a young man that all the irreplaceable folks were buried at Cave Hill Cemetery. I have found that over the years that's the absolute truth.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

my opinion is that what should be a lateral move to auburn is really a step down for coach grantham. Malzone may be fired after next year which would put all of his assistants out of work.
