John Smith survived the Daton Fix steroids fiasco, correct? Oil checking aside, hard to see such a coach let go over what is CURRENTLY being accused. That all changes if there's some evidence showing he knew of sexual assault allegations against Starrocci and did nothing. Until then, you can dream.

What can he do about sexual assault allegations? It has to be proven for him to do anything - am I correct? Now if he witnessed some one raping a girl, that would be different. But in a he said/she said situation, I do not see him being in any trouble over this. Now Starocci may get the AJ treatment and be forced out of wrestling or at least not having any sponsors.

I won't pretend to know what his responsibilities are in that scenario. I think if a college coach or college employee in general even hears of potential sexual assault they are to report it. Could be wrong. Probably am. I'm a PSU fan so I'm obviously biased, but to me, what is CURRENTLY known does not warrant any action taken against cael and staff. We just don't know everything yet. Either a bigger, more competent,news outlet is currently putting together an award winning takedown of PSU wrestling, or this has already fizzled out and Penn State wins 2026/2027 without a struggle and everyone moves on.
Could his job be in trouble if he knew of Stars alleged nudey photos of teammates without permission if he did in fact know about it, play it off and look the other way.
I doubt anything happens to him but if the Snapchat stuff is true and was reported to him and he did nothing that would borderline rise to the level of a fireable offense on its own. Add in the rest of the story and I could see a scenario where the admin can’t look the other way assuming there is any proof.
If he knew about the oil checks, how could they keep him on?

I believe the article stated that Beau and/or others reported the nude photos thing to Cael, and nothing was done. If true, that could certainly put Cael in hot water with the administration. I guess we will see. The admin has to at least be doing an investigation after that article. But put me down for none/minor consequences.

He is almost certainly a mandated reporter of any credible allegation or knowledge. I don’t think that involves absolute proof.

That would be correct. Wouldn't be up to him to investigate or prove/disprove but he would be required to notify authorities if he had that kind of allegation.

I also believe he has suffered from a stroke because of or is dealing with terrible affects from steroids.
