Query me this, how does a 5x National Champ get named the 2025 Big Ten Jesse Owens Male Athlete of the Year, and be guilty of any substantial allegation?
I am just glad so many Iowa fans have so much respect for the Penn State student newspaper and hold it in such high regards.
I think it's a little sad how little regard Penn State fans have for their own athlete, Beau Bartlett, just because Starocci was a better wrestler.
Probably the same way Sandusky was allowed to stay on campus after his “allegations” surfaced

This may surprise some of you, but the police do not go after or spend hardly any time on these kinds of thefts. I know of 2 people who had things stolen and the cops did not give it any attention.
One guy had his car stolen and it was found the next all banged up. The guy asked the cops what they were going to do and the cops said nothing. You got your car back. They did not investigate at all. Another guy had his bike stolen and the cops would not even look at film footage.
Minor theft is not even on their radar for things to do.. Writing DUIs and speeding tickets are another story. Those generate money.
So the cops saying they could not contact Starocci for 6 months should probably read the cops did not attempt to contact him for 6 months.

The same way a football coach and athletic dept cover up child rape for years yet still became icons of the program. People in power knew yet did nothing. It's simply a culture problem that's infested college athletics at psu among others. Winning and success matter more than anything else. The staff knew Carter was a thief, a bully, and committing sexual in nature offenses against his teammates, but they chose to let him compete bc it helped them win, period. As soon as he was done serving that purpose he was cut loose from the program.

The reporter didn't write "butt(ocks)" (sic) or anything of the sort. Did he ever use the term "oil checking?" I didn't see that either.

I guess that could've been the perceived intent, if someone firsthand asserts it. But if bullying is taken at face value, it could also be an inferred threat to do so that didn't quite materialize. This seems it could possibly track here, imo.

Anus is formal enough (for @$$hole). Fingers in buttocks is accurate for a butt drag, and as used, really isn't something I would take to be a lie. Others seem to have extended the meaning beyond what I've read Beau said.
Knee to head as bullying was a pretty explicit allegation. But why even bring that up if fingers in anus are in play? Something just doesn't seem right about that to me. Color me skeptical.

Maybe because PSU practices play wrestling and Carter was going beyond, so he understood Carter to be bullying him.
The complaints weren't made public until after Beau didn't get satisfaction regarding the theft allegation, which he believed was committed by Carter. Then there is the Snap allegation. Then there is his stated belief Carter is a pervert, some of which may be attributed to Carter's alleged treatment of young coeds. And none of this came out until Syd's Olympic Trials post.
Bottom line - Beau doesn't seem to like Carter, so it's possible he DGAF. As such, it wouldn't concern him to paint Carter in the worst light possible.
Where did I say anything about fingers in an anus? That's you being desperate. Beau reported Staroccis penchant for inappropriate touching during drilling which was apparently corroborated by others. I don't know or care where Carter stuck his fingers. If other high level wrestlers knew what he was doing was inappropriate, I'll take their word for it.
