I did not see the game Saturday. Watched a taped rerun from ESPN last night. Must say it was more relaxing and not as tense. I appreciate LLoyd and the fact he chose us and opened up the DC area pipeline for us. I don't care for his running style. He hesitates and too many times backs into the line instead of charging straight ahead. I kept wondering how a power back like Tank Bigsby would have added so much more to our offense. We need a power back on our roster. Bell is better but still not the answer at rb, imo. We got the shifty back in JuJu. Does the juco back we are recruiting fill this bill??

Lloyd is very good when healthy. Unfortunately, we've only had a healthy Lloyd for 8 collegiate games. Really, 7. Missed all of his first year. Last year he was clearly not back to full speed. He looked really good to start the year, then was knocked out for most of the Mizzou game, then missed the next 3. Came back for Clemson, but after being out for basically 4 games, coming back against Clemson's D was a tough task.

Shane Beamer has been a master of the portal. Let's see what type of magic he can create.

I don’t think Beamer is going to be thinking we need to upgrade on Lloyd. I won’t be shocked to add a RB for depth, but this staff is really big on Lloyd and for good reason. Our OL just doesn’t block that great. Many times there is just nowhere to run. Lloyd has shown he can be a nice RB. I mean, comparing to Tank as someone did above is difficult as he’s one of the best in the nation. But I wouldn’t necessarily say Lloyd isn’t in that group. He definitely is fragile though. But I think Lloyd, behind a decent OL, would be a really good RB.
