Has it finally started to happen? What will Wagner do? What will the Chechens do?

All kidding aside, Wagner has pulled troops off the front line and is heading back to Russia. Either a coup or a real clever fake

I’m reading that this Wagner guy is saying that the Russians have killed over 2000 of his troops and he’s pissed.

He’s been pissed for eight months. But something sent him over the edge today. What was it that was said in “The Art of War” about mercenaries?

In the old days, I would have been a lot more paranoid about this, but nowadays, you can probably see from satellites whether they really withdrew or are just hiding in plain site, waiting to pounce.

Here's another thought--maybe he knows that Putin has already kicked the bucket, and the game of thrones has begun.

PARTY TIME WOOOOOO!!!!! Looks like Wagner is trying to take Rostov on Don. It’s a major logistics hub and would make things real fun on the southern front.

Good. 'Bout time. Putin thought he could get away with his evil. Nope.
It’s amazing to have seen Putin gone from a “master strategist” to an incompetent moron. All of this could have been avoided if Obama and his socialist European Allies hadn’t cowardly turned a blind eye to the Russian invasion of the Donbas and the Crimea.

Which helps explains why Biden and Putin were so close, until this major strategic blunder by "Vlad the Imploder". They both have cauliflower for brains.

Two idiots for sure. In a way Trump was right, he actually could end this sorry situation in 24hrs. Putin is done. Russia is imploding within not because of Ukraine but because the Russia alternative gang of criminals that run Russia are fed up with Putin and want someone else. Either way the new regime will be criminals. Most importantly which gang will control the internal fight over "tactical nuclear weapons"? That's my take but am open to alternative views.

100%. Much stronger support for Ukraine much sooner would have been the way. I find it hilarious that anti-military lefties are so pro Ukraine support without understanding that support is very lethal, and very pro military.

Kremlin denies report Putin fled Moscow...Yeah, riiiiiiight...HE GONE!

A Kremlin spokesman has denied reports that Vladimir Putin has fled Moscow by plane.

One of several planes that Putin uses for official visits took off from Moscow at 2.15 pm local time, according to Flight Radar, which tracks aircraft in real-time.

Less than half an hour later, it went off radar about 150 kilometres from Mr Putin’s official residence.

“Putin is working at the Kremlin,” his spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the Tass news agency when asked about reports of Putin going to the northwest, possibly St Petersburg.

Now, maybe these reports are premature, but it’s quite possible that Putin may have committed the vast majority of his army to Ukraine, and neglected to leave enough behind to protect Moscow.

From what I read the day before yesterday, they were trying to pull troops and conscripts from the east as reinforcements for ukraine. The obvious assumption being they’re short handed even on the front.

Putin is evil. Prigozhin says hold my beer.

People should be careful to applaud the current coup attempt. I sure as hell don't want the Wagner group to have access to Russian nukes.

It is what it is. Putin has sent Ukraine back to the middle ages. Someone else needs a turn.

All of this has been very, very good for NATO defense. All of those countries had been drifting into the Russian orbit due to their fuel dependency. All of this, at a minimum, causes at least a momentary disruption in their gravitational pull.

Wrong. But think what you want. Wagner group is hell on wheels.

No doubt, but with this current chaos and in-fighting, as they say...

I'm supporting the degradation of their power and mitigation (if only temporary) as a global threat.

Shall we look for global oil prices to skyrocket, or has their oil industry been sufficiently isolated so as to mitigate the impact?

Interesting question. India and China as well as a few others continue to contract for ruskie oil and gas.

I don't know how anyone can think this is a good thing or even remotely funny.

If anyone thought the Ukraine ware was going to lead to a 3rd world war.....well, we may now actually be witnessing the start.

Wagner group is bad. What do you think they are going to do if they gain control?
