Good gawd he is insufferable. Good riddance you fukcing idiot.
But you need to have played the game if you are going to analyze a player’s play like he did with CC Lamb in the segment in this thread. And that’s what I am talking about. There are certain things you can’t talk about unless you played the game.
Yes. Most Nascar drivers have never driven a car before they join the circuit. They just read a book about it, maybe two. This afternoon I am going to watch a YouTube video on Nuclear Reactor Maintenance. Then I figure on going down to Brownville. I hear they pay well.
Karl is awesome. That one surprises me a bit. I liked him..
That’s what I am talking about the actual knowledge of the ins and out of the game Dan Orlovsky is another former player that you can tell that gets upset when these wannabes start acting like they are experts and they know more than them .Disagree. Anyone can educate themselves enough to discuss something like that. You don't need to have done it to know enough to talk about it. Now, if you want to argue which one knows better about it, then you might have a legit point. The person with the actual experience in just about anything might know more than the person who hasn't done it.
You're point is moot. Talking about Nascar isn't the same as driving an actual car. Talking about Nuclear Reactor Maintenance isn't the same as actually performing steps for maintaining a nuclear reactor. Talking about CD Lamb's play isn't the same as actually playing. You're referring to actually doing things, not talking about them.
These guys were just talking about it. And just because they've never done it themselves, does not mean they can't be educated about it enough to talk intelligently about it.

This is the kind of corporate ******** that I hate. Some of these people were great at their jobs. They fired Ron Franklin about 10 years ago when his voice in college football was legendary. If they could, ESPN would get in a time machine and fire Keith Jackson in the 1980's.
I don't watch ESPN but I'm familiar with Ryan Clark from his Steelers days. He's always been a talk first, think (maybe) second guy. I think he only got into ESPN to begin with because he played next to Troy Palamalu. Troy did it all and made everyone else around him look good. Otherwise, Clark is just a journeyman safety and those guys don't get network analyst jobs.I totally forgot about Ron Franklin getting tossed. Might be my fav college fb announcer of all-time.
The ESPN guy who this thread is about (I don't even know his name without looking) is part of why "I" can't stand ESPN. He's on there spewing political BS all over the air, a lot of it unfounded. He and SVP had to acknowledge and admit their LACK of knowledge on Lacey, the player who committed suicide. This of course came after a long RANT on ESPN about bad cops and racial injustice..
Enough! A lot of us don't tune out of ESPN as part of some virtue signaling - We're just genuinely tired of the crap. The "E" in ESPN is supposed to stand for Entertainment, not politics.
Salary was 2mil a year? Dang thats good work if you can get it.
..didn't care for him but hate to see anyone lose a job.
It is that they are not funny.I really can’t listen to women talk about sports…like at all. The only sports they actually know a damn thing about are the sports I don’t pay attention to.
Somewhat side note: I’ve barely ever laughed at female comedians either. Not sure what it is.

This popped up in another thread. The poster said that we should not criticize Rhule because none of us have been a D1 head coach before.
Not quite what I said. Criticizing is different than acting like you could do better or acting as if you have any clue what he is responsible for or does on a daily basis based on your experience coaching 9th grade B team football. The comment was in reply to someone stating that coaching P4 football in 2026 is the same as coaching P5 football in 1990 whatever it was. This popped up in another thread. Pat ***** slapping RC.
So I suppose, since Rhule has never been a 9th grade B coach...he should not act like he has a clue about those responsibilities? Not quite what I said. This and I’m sure Schraeger played sports at some level. Just because it wasn’t the NFL doesn’t mean he has no concept of what it’s like to be a player.Wrong. You don't need to have played to be able to know what the hell you're talking about when it comes to sports. When it comes to anything, really. Do you need your oncologist to have actually had cancer in order to know about cancer?
It's called learning, and there are plenty of resources, history, examples, etc available from which to learn.
Mike Leach never played. But you need to have played the game if you are going to analyze a player’s play like he did with CC Lamb in the segment in this thread. And that’s what I am talking about. There are certain things you can’t talk about unless you played the game.
The commander in chief dodged the militaryMike Leach never played.
Not related to women being unfunny but this is one of my favorite Norm jokes … (found it while looking for Norm bagging on women comics).
This is one of the funniest things ever...my god.
That smirk that Bob gives is priceless.
It was from his early Norm show before Netflix got the rights - hoping they release all the old shows - Nealon, Jim Carrey, he had some awesome interviews but it’s tough to find them.I am not familiar with this..weird.
Not trying to hojack this thread … but here’s one more …This is one of the funniest things ever...my god.
