Ehhh....Leveque is a Ryan Young clone, with worse passing ability, better shot-blocking, and more foul-prone. What is the strategy here?Jon Rothstein reported today that Ryan Greer is NOT using his extra year of eligibility (so he’s not returning to NU or transferring).
Rothstein also reported that NU is pursuing transfer Wildens Leveque from South Carolina.
I think the strategy was a to find bodies.Ehhh....Leveque is a Ryan Young clone, with worse passing ability, better shot-blocking, and more foul-prone. What is the strategy here?

There's a LOT to like there. Would be shocked if he ended up at NU though.....A clone? Ha! Yeah…I see a lot of similarities between the two.![]()

Ignoring issues of the program being competitive, if he does any kind of research on the style of play we will be the first he eliminates from his prospects. There's a LOT to like there. Would be shocked if he ended up at NU though.....

More on defense and about the same offense as Young would be a very valuable player on next years team.Ok, yes, he can dunk and is clearly much more athletic than Young. Against Top-100 competition this year, he also made only 52% of shots in the paint (excluding dunks) vs 60% for Young, was a worse passer, worse rebounder, committed 2 more fouls/40 and turned the ball over more. He would certainly add more on defense when on the court, but, again, aside from dunks, he would likely not provide anything more on offense than Young did.

Former SC player TaQuan Woodley goes to UMass.Sounds like he’s UMASS bound. Heading home and following his former head coach.
His former coach specifically called him out in the press at the end of the year and benched him, sparking some criticism of the coach. Given the list of schools interested, I would be surprised if he jumps to a bottom-feeding program like UMass.Sounds like he’s UMASS bound. Heading home and following his former head coach.
I see 40% from 3. Thats good.Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Collins and staff reached out to Akron swingman transfer, Ali Ali.

He did score 17 against Ohio St on 6-11 (2-4) with 3 rebounds.I see 40% from 3. Thats good.
But The Big Ten defends better than the MAC, so assume he tops out at 35%
And he's 6'8" 195 lbs.
A less physical Robbie Beran?
Well, since Young doesn't dunk, and Leveque does, many of Youngs shots that he averaged 60% on would be dunks instead so their shooting % would likely be higher for Leveque. Remember how many layups (that might have been dunks for some other player) rolled off?Ok, yes, he can dunk and is clearly much more athletic than Young. He committed to Butler.Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Collins and staff reached out to Akron swingman transfer, Ali Ali.

Any relationship to World B? He could fill it up.How about his cousin, Oxen Free?
Sounds like he’s UMASS bound. Heading home and following his former head coach.
