Ryan Welage is a high school teammate of Bryant McIntosh who is transferring from San Jose St. He is a skilled 6’9” shooter who led SJSU in scoring at 18/game.

Based on his relationship with B Mac, I wonder if he’ll have interest in NU and vice versa.

I’m hearing Purdue and Butler are taking a look. Has a younger brother who is D1 material too. Just finished up his sophomore season in high school.

I don't, just what I read in the St. Louis area media. I love the kid -- for 6-7, he's an amazing shot-blocker. Swatted 10 in one game. And it's not a case where he's simply taller than most of the kids he plays against. He has a great second and third jump. He's also not a bad three-point shooter. But I've seen no hints from him which way he's leaning. I'm sure he'll be more focused on recruiting now that the state tournament is over.

Younger brother Andrew is a 6'6" guard who just finished as an underclassman All State pick. Going to be very good. And 99% sure Ryan is a grad transfer who can play right away
