Just what Europe need, Rory getting his game in top shape just in time for the RC. Hell of a final round yesterday in high winds.

After 3 rounds of the BMW, Rickie says "I don't care if I play in the RC or not" while JB is screaming "don't you dare forget about me Davis!"

J.B. struggled today in the final round, but did enough to make it to the Tour Championship. I think he's one of the guys selected tomorrow. I'm going with Berger and Kuchar as my other 2 picks.

Who's going to be the last pick?

Ryder Cup odds via @golfodds: USA win: -175 ($175 wins $100) Europe win: +190 ($100 wins $190) 14-14 tie: +1100 ($100 wins $1,100)

That +$190 is oh so tempting. Especially the way the last few Cups have gone. May need to throw fiddy on the Euros.

Dustin Johnson: Don't put me with Phil. Evidently it is nothing personal, just that those two don't play well when partnered together.

I just rewatched the 2012 final day on golf channel this week. What a colossal melt down. I did not remember that at one time on Friday the US led 10-4!!

Rose made a bomb all the way across the green on Phil, then lots of Yanks missed makeable putt after makeable putt, most notably Furyk and Stricker. Unbelievable. Johnny Miller noted that Europe won 17 and 18 something like 9 times in matches whle the US did not win those holes at all when they mattered.

Got a golf trip scheduled for this weekend. Did not realize it was same weekend as the Ryder Cup or I may have reconsidered.

Yeah, too bad the dates were just released this week. Maybe next time.

Put a hundo on the Euros at +175, which I'll be more than happy to lose.

I know I was a dumbass.

Should have bet the tie. Good payoff if it hits.

Love the "you should have bet" people. Did YOU bet? Didn't think so.

Not a fan of Bubba being a 5th vice captain. We better win Davis.

Early fall golf trips can't be beat. Enjoy and catch the highlights at the bar in the evening.

Yeah, no need even watching any sporting events, much less one that only happens every other year. Just catch the highlights of the Superbowl after church at the bar. ESPN loves this approach.

Also took the Euro's for $100 for the exact philosophy. I DID bet.

Weak Link of the team?

Give me Brandt, without hesitation. Nice dude, but he's weak -- and I don't trust his game or style of play, still can't believe he's as good as he is the way he plays. Just don't trust the dude for **** under pressure. Not a fan, would much rather have Bubba (or several others) in there, despite my personal dislike of the guy.

Brandt is a puss boi Vandy *****. He's 100% likely to choke a big match away. He's praised for his putting, but his stroke is dog **** and likely won't hold up under the pressure.

HOT TAKES

Thanks. It's me and 23 other guys from church. Playing golf and spending time with some great guys from my church will always beat watching golf on TV even if it is the Ryder Cup.

Europe has never won 4 in a row, if they win this week not sure where we turn or how we recover. Add Mexico and Canadian players to our teams ...lol

Yep. Can catch some of the action in-between rounds. Sunday is NFL day anyway.
