Westwood popped off a line about being called a turd this week when they were talking about the fans. I thought that sounded a bit bitchy when everyone else praised the US team and co-captains trying to control it.
He also went out of his way to give praise to Bubba, JB, Moore and the caddies for trying to control the unruly members of the crowd. I didn't take that quote as being bitchy about the fans. I thought it was more lighthearted. I think watching the press conference would lead to a much different impression versus reading the quotes. I read the quote you referenced and thought the same thing. When I watched it, I didn't think it was too bad.

Me saying that was the turning point in the match. He missed everything after that. It's like he thought it was the Phoenix Open and not the Ryder Cup.
His putting could be the single factor that cost them the cup. Instead of a 15-10 win late today, it could have been 13-12 with three matches left, had he not blown those putts yesterday and not allowed Moore back in today's match. With Kuchar down at that point today, gotta wonder if one of the other two for the US would have tightened up their game and folded.

That is very true. Westwood has been a stalwart for the Euros it seems so I understood the pick on those grounds. However, it was clear that Russell Knox was the more in form player. Even though he would've been a rookie he was playing much better than Westwood.

I think a problem for Europe was it tried to hide it's rookies. They found a gem in Pieters but none of the others got to play much. I think sitting out some of the rookies for an entire day could have shaken their confidence going into today. Without looking I think the only European rookie to win his match was Pieters. I think the rest lost theirs. You have to wonder if that played a role.

Pretty sure you are right on that about the rookies.

My favorite wasn't Willett didn't even score a point this week. Makes his brother look like even more of a tool.

A reporter specifically asked Rose about the course, which prompted his response about the easy pin placements. He didn't just mention it out of frustration. But DLIII said earlier in the week that the days of really manipulating the course to favor one side were over, and they knew fans wanted to see birdies.

The media kept trying to bait the Europeans into saying something critical about the fans and it didn't happen. When one asked whether morning beer sales should stop, a few of them immediately said "no" at the same time, which was pretty funny. The best part was Sergio commenting on what he heard from the gallery and he said, "Well, I still know I don't have any majors." and everyone cracked up.

I think the Euros are generally a bunch of fun, likable guys and it showed in the press conference. I've been rooting for Sergio and Westwood to win a major for a few years now. They may be dicks on occasion, but they've taken a LOT of **** from fans from over the years, so it'd be hard to not be a little standoffish. And Rory was going out of his way to smooth things over with any American fans he might've pissed off. Rory was irritating the hell out of me, but I'm done wishing shanks on any of those guys until 2018 in France.

Rose's comments, to me, seemed like he was complaining. He seemed upset that the course was made to allow for a lot of birdies. He was I think -2 for the day today. He wouldn't have seen 18 if he was playing against many of the other guys we had today. It seems silly to criticize a course for playing too easily when you didn't make a lot of birdies in the singles.

I actually liked Sergio during these matches. I obviously was hoping he'd bogey every hole, but he really seems to have matured and is not the immature woe is me guy anymore. The horseshoe lip out he had Saturday was the perfect example. Old Sergio goes would have thrown a fit. This time, he broke out laughing. He seemed to enjoy giving it back to the fans in a playful manner. Sergio acted how I hope a lot of Americans act in 2018. It's what the Ryder Cup should be. No complaints from me about Sergio.

Personally, I loved all of the antagonizing. I like the Ryder Cup that way. It was like wrestling with the faces and heels. I loved seeing Rory play to it. It was fun to watch and I hope that the Americans do the same in 2018. Willett's brother on the other hand was out of line. My brother works for the PGA and had to work the Ryder Cup. He said on Thursday when Willett stepped to the first tee, a heckler screamed out "That's ok Danny. I hate my brother too".

This event is all about bragging rights. It isn't the Masters or the Open Championship. It should be fun and this is the most fun Ryder Cup I can remember.

And as a last note, I think Patrick Reed has replaced Dikembe Mutombo as the best finger wag in all of sports.

Rory has said that the Euro crowd will not act as the Ameticans gallery did this year that they will be more respectable. We'll see.

The Jack dream is long over but the Snead dream remains. 4 wins to own it:pray:

"I see Tiger at the Medalist. We talk and have played nine holes together," Parnevik tells Golf Digest senior writer Guy Yocom. "By the way, he's been hitting a lot of balls, and he's hitting it great. He's pounding it a mile and flushing everything. On the range, at least, his trajectory and ball flight are like the Tiger we knew 15 years ago. Comebacks are never a sure thing, but something tells me his might be spectacular."

So Jesper is an effing hypocrite. Said he wished he didn't know tiger and that he never introduced Elin to him just a few years ago.

Time heals man. Should he be upset forever? It's been 7 years and Tiger and Elin have a very good relationship.

Don't even f*ck with me can't get my hopes up.

I guess Parnevik forgave him, I thought they were done. Praying for Big Cat to give us one more glimpse even though I know it's unlikely for about 20 reasons. He's the reason I started following golf and fell in love with watching. Before I thought it was boring... anyone who says that is obviously an idiot. Saturday/ Sunday golf is as intense as any sport and more than most.

This was the moment. Sitting on my couch hungover as ****. Went apeshit with my boy Ghetto. Was hooked and only got 2.5 seasons with him in his prime.

The Parnevik thing has been done as far as I know for 3 or 4 years. They play at same club and he sees the renewed relationship Tiger has with Elin. Forgiveness is a good thing I suppose.

I was at this one. It too was awesome.

Watch at 2:10. I always heard about somebody throwing his ball out and you can clearly see the dude in the white run by the bushes and then the ball come flying out down the cart path. He proceeds to run up by the ball and point to it like he found it lol.
