It has been 30 years since we’ve won in Europe. If you think playing over there doesn’t have a major impact on it, so be it. By the way, and I’m sure you know, we won in the US 2 years ago 19-9.
But I do agree with you on the criticism of Johnson. I hated the picks. But this has been going on well before this year. Even when we finally got it right going with pods, we still get our a$$ kicked in Europe.
You seem too smart to be getting fooled into thinking the US team is going to go to Europe and win the Ryder Cup. I say that with the utmost respect. I don’t know why media / fans continue to expect this to happen when our players continue to get blasted over there. Have we not selected a decent captain or had good players in any of those Ryder Cups?
We’ll win there eventually. Shoot, maybe we’ll have a miracle comeback this time. (Highly doubt it) But I for one will be surprised when it finally happens. We’ve been far more talented than Europe in so many of those Cup on foreign soil since 1993. 0 wins. I don’t see how this wasn’t predictable or expected. By now it should be.

What has changed? Before the 90's, we won just about everytime we played regardless of location. Europe simply got better?
Our players seem to do well in the British open and we won in 80's and early 90's there so it's not the courses.
Personally, like the SEC commercial, I think it "just means more" to them.
