Nah, not buying that story. You don't just up and bench a guy who has over 200 starts in 4 years and use the "the other guy gives us a better chance at winning" as the excuse. It worked out in the regionals, but there were a few plays at 1B that Hussey would have made that Lumsden didn't. And saying that a guy hitting barely .100 gives you a better chance at winning over a guy who is hitting .275 and is the career HR leader and a plus defender......??????
