The Dunkel Index has Rutgers at #61 just below Army at #60 and above Liberty at #62.

Hopefully, a win over Temple will move Rutgers up closer to joining the Big Boys like Texas State, San Diego State, Navy and University of Texas at San Antonio!!!

Yes, the computer rankings this early are next to worthless.

(FWIW, it has Northwestern at #77 and Temple at #71.)

Last years rankings should have no impact on the start of this season. Many teams are complete overhauls.

I’m a big Army supporter and watched most of their game vs ULM. Army has significant issues transitioning from their traditional triple option attack to something more conventional, resulting from the new rules about cut blocking. OL is adjusting as is their new QB. RU D would dominate Army’s O.
