Dang thanks. Amherst does YouTube when at home
Salem needs to do the same thing. Gameday may have better cameras but if you're on the Salem football fans FB page they will tell you the streaming sucks for about half the people.

Salem doesn't need to do anything. This has been in place for several yrs. Now some people had issues at the beginning of the season on their end. The owner is more than happy to help anyone that has an issue. I have watched all the games on my phone with no problems.

Sure they do. Why do you think Salem fans enjoyed watching and listening to WSUT last year? It was free and they didn’t have issues. Doesn’t matter all long it’s been in place. Multiple people have issues each week. Including tonight.

I'm not going to debate something on this forum that you and several others have no idea about. If you want to watch the game sign up. If not don't sign up. It usually gets posted after the game.

You say that as if all fans enjoyed watching WSUT. More like a small group of fans. We can discuss this more if you want. Just not in this forum.

Love how people have problems but I have it perfectly fine on my phone.

And yet you kept replying. Andy does a good job. Even the baseball games were good. Not that I know what I’m talking about though... there are high schools that don’t have the fan base Salem does and they broadcast through YouTube. It would be another option for people to watch.

Just stop. We can discuss this in person if you want

Nothing to discuss. I thought it would be a good option for Salem to put their games on YouTube like some of the other football teams just because of the issues people had all year trying to stream.

I am going to work on the assumption that Salem has no issues with visiting teams streaming the game for their fans, right?

That is probably an unsafe assumption. We used to have a former player's dad who would stream and commentate the games himself on Facebook and that, I believe, has ceased now that Salem uses Gameday.

You may want to communicate with the Salem AD or something for clarification. If this was a full crowd game even if it wasn't OK you could probably get away with it but you're going to stick out like a sore thumb in that big stadium that'll be 90+% empty. Not sure if you'd want to get told to shut it off mid-stream.

Again, not saying I know for sure or anything, just think you may want to ask around with people who do.

Thanks. Ours is the stream officially endorsed by GW High School. I know there is a VHSL fee to broadcast playoff games but I hope there are no restrictions on visitor webcasts. I know if the game were in Danville we would not impose such restrictions on a Salem entity that wished to webcast.

It's probably fine but I'd just double-check with the AD if I were you, more just like I said you'd hate to get your setup going and then be forced to pack it in. I don't think the Gameday thing has made it "Salem's only official broadcaster" or something (one of the local TV stations did the whole Pulaski game, I believe) but my understanding of the guy who used to stream and now doesn't is it was related to Gameday which is the only reason why I'm mentioning it now. Perhaps it was for another reason and I misunderstood, who knows.

The odd thing is...I won't be broadcasting this Friday. I have a full hip replacement scheduled for Thursday. For two years I have not been able to stand up or sit down without severe pain. This will be the first GW game I have missed since 1988.
